Description

A nasty Amalgamate predator, protected by fused rib-cages forming a sort of armor. When it detects the movement of nearby prey, it begins to lower it's various tongues (made from the tendons of human hands), it will then feel around for victims. When the tongues find prey, little finger-bone hooks on the tongues will latch on, digging into flesh and wrapping around until an unbreakable grip is established.

The base of the Barnacle is ringed with near-sighted eyes that help guide the tongues to their target. Once constricted, the Barnacle begins drooling bile onto the tongues, burning flesh and causing horrible pain. Now incapacitated, there is only one thing left to do.

The tongues will retract, drawing prey into the gaping maw. Once inside, the bone plates clamp shut, and digestive juices begin to pool inside, until there is nothing but slurry left. These leftovers, are absorbed by the Amalgamate, increasing it's size and mass.
