You did well with the nose, for me to copy a photograph too closely is to lose ones vision.

Yeah, I'm also against just copying photos.
I like that in my portraits there is a similarity with the original, but I like to use different color schemes, bright colors, elements of abstraction.
For me, simple copying is boring) Although someone creates very cool works by doing photographic realism

Yes I admire someone's patience when doing photo-realism, as far as craftwork goes its an art in itself , and its thought that using projectors is an old trick, even masters like Caravaggio had lenses they could use to get an outline and then " colour in " afterwards, so no shame using technology and I'm happy to get such help with a portrait , in particular with photograph's.
Your work is very colourful , you add your personal touch this way and some nice harmony.
