Awesome, you really do a fantastic job with these high end, yet unorthodox fan art, which is something I've always enjoy seeing on DeviantART. Sadly I have no "Adventure Time" pieces on my end, but I do have an elaborate Ice King illustration in the works, based on his tragic origins.

Just for the snippet we did get from the Christmas episode, I am more than happy with what was shown, and hard to imagine another episode based around the Ice King's pre-magical-mutant, human days.
But it did put the character into a whole new light for me, and makes his previously despicable actions far more forgivable, because the poor guy really can't help himself. And his arch rivalry of Finn and Jake is now the best therapy / friends this unfortunate loon could have.
Plus, it really caught me by surprise that they would do something admittedly THAT tragic and dark on a Cartoon Network series, even for something as already well done as "Adventure Time".
And lastly, the Ice King's back-story is also quite 'Lovecraftean' to boot; humble scholar uncovers forbidden, ancient knowledge, that transforms him, and both saves AND dooms him in the Apocalyptic end.

You could try to use higher contrast, at least with light reflections, gives a better slime feeling. I would advise to use a higher contrast with shades too, but if you are looking for cute things maybe softness is what you are aiming for.
Don't really know what I'm talking about but, i just wanted to try to be helpful somehow :3.
Using a darker tone for the eyelash while keeping the lineart colored would make it easier to spot, and stand out better.
If you weren't looking for any criticism i apologize, and feel free to ignore what i said before :3.
