Redirect to original
Description
More redraws.Of old charries I don't use anymore, and actually have never used in any RP either.
Well no that's not true, I used Isaac, but that was ages ago. I guess Mozetta was in a RP for a few scenes too, but that was it. So they're pretty useless, but still fun to redraw I guess....?

... I see Isaac got a haircut.
... P'Mario hasn't really changed though, which is cool, since I always liked his design. (furry beard)
... Mire Is always awesome.
... And idk, but wasn't Mozetta 'Feh' at one point?
... And wow, Zander I haven't seen in like ages... Like back when you still had long hair ages.

Yes, his former hair was too... massive.
Yeeh I liked P'Mario as he was, so I kept everything haha.
Feh had more names, Mozetta being one of them. I went with Mozetta though, because Feh sounds more like a disappointed noise than an actual name. Kudos to you for remembering, though!
By long hair ages, do you mean my hair or my charries hair? xD Yeah for some reason I loved giving them long hair but it annoyed ma after a while ahaha

... Not to mention hard to replicate lol.
... Yup, Somehow I remember Feh, if only for the poncho thing he wears.
... Nah, when you had long hair and I began watching you.
... Well, Zander wouldn't look the same with short hair lol.

Yeep.
I'm glad you did, you probably remember some of my characters better than I.
I see xD
And I think zander would look the same. I mean if you look at him frontally, you don't see his ponytail, so it wouldn't look that different xD

... Nah, just info that may or may not be true.
... True, but a zany, mad scientist with short hair shows he has enough sanity to cut it.

Agh I love your style and characters so much. You should use these guys again. They have such nice designs.

Ahhh I'm glad you like it.
I have problems with liking my current hamster style. While looking through old pics I found one from 2011 and I was surprised it was that old, because it looked relatively good,. Actually better than my current style.
I'm trying to get it back but it's not that easy....;;
I can't really use them anywhere though. I used to RP but eventually my RP partner didn't want to anymore, and my characters lost their purpose. I didn't feel like starting RPs with someone else though, because I had built up relationships with my RP buddy's characters already.
So yeah, I might redraw them from time to time, but... I hae no use for them. D:

I don't think either style is better than the other. They are just different. But I understand if you want to use a style to feel most proud of/comfortable with. I am the same way XD Perhaps you can try blending the two styles and work your way back to your original style in small increments. Or develop and entirely new one. Easier said than done, I know, but you can do whatever.
Hmmm I see that. I used to rp ALL the time but I eventually lost interest/became too depressed to do anything. But I still have, and love, my rp characters because I've defined them myself, not by their interactions with other people (don't get me wrong, I still use rps to flesh out a new characters personality.)But I've had characters that I no longer used too. Still, I think these chars need a second chance. But that's just my crappy ass opinion lmfao

I'm trying to but it's not easy. I can't really force my hand to draw like it did years ago. :C
It just draws. I just need to find something with which I feel comfortable again. But I guess so far it's going in the right direction. I just need to keep on trying. C:
I still love my characters too, I would never abandon then. And I miss them so much, which is the reason why I am redrawing many of them nowadays. Oh the nostalgia. ;n;
They have a personality on their own, but I built up too many stories with them which need my RP opponent's characters, and I don't have the motivation to start from scratch and build up different stories for them. I don't really want to either. I like the stories as they are, and I want the RP back but you can't always get what you want. :C Ahh, I'd really like to use them and give them a second chance, but part of me is too demotivated and sad to start anew
don't say your opinion is crappy, it means a lot to me. <3

That's the spirit. I get in these art slumps too. I've found the best thing is to try to draw something outside my comfort zone and force myself to draw it. I guess the random and different stuff compliments routine.
Well perhaps you can make them more dependent on each other and fill a certain niche in another's backstory. I often have pairs of characters. Not like relationships, but two, often very different characters, that meet later in life, that emphasize the other's characteristics. They aren't dependent on the other but they are built up by them, the same way friendships (or hateships as it is with some of my chars XD) do. *ramble ramble*
And I am glad!

Doodling helps a lot. It helps in general, not to think in complete pictures, but just to go on and draw. And if it looks crappy WELL it's just a doodle ayway. If you like it enough,then- hey let's color it. xD
Not to mention doodles look better than clean outlines anyway most of the time ...
Maybe I could. But a part refuses because I really love the relationships and stories I had. They were perfect. I don't want to let them go. Making up new stuff would feel like cheating, it wouldn't feel right. That doesn't make any sense I know.
Maybe I'm just someone who can't let go of people and things that easily. :I
and all my love for hateships hehehe...

I 100% agree with that. I have a thing for sketches apparently XD They're just so raw. Sketching is so calming for me.
You don't have to let them go though. Characters get older and new things happen to them. Friends normally stay with us in life but we also do things that don't involve them. Have your characters be the same way. Even something like switching a character's occupation or having them start a family can change the course of events in their life.
They are the best things everrrrr

Sketches have more personality imho, because they are just careless drawings.
As soon as you start turning them into clean outlines, you begin to think too much about what looks right and wrong, because it needs to be clean. And in the end it just looks stiff. Sadly. :C
Most of my characters are some kind of killers though. I can't imagine them starting a family... or getting a job change haha.

Sketches are so emotional. There are no boundaries for sketches and they are perfect in their imperfection.
Aw XD I have so many of those too. Well make them have a job in bounty hunting and they collect skulls and treat them as children

One of my characters actually has a skull, that he treats like a friend, talking to it as if it was alive haha.
... Oh well, then again he's a grave digger and talks to every dead thing around him. So...

Awwww that is adorable awesome. I have my own skull collection at home so it's obvious I love skulls and a lot of my characters are skeletal in appearance. I can just see your character holding the skull and going "Ah, poor Yorick, I new him, Horatio."

LazyBasy In reply to MBPanther [2013-06-10 16:47:47 +0000 UTC]
You have a whole collection at home? That's cool! (although a bit creepy. I'd be afraid at night I guess. xD)
Ahahah xD Well he actually has only one skull, who he calls buddy. He just... talks to the graves of the others. Although he probably also talks to the corpses before their coffin gets closed forever idk. He's lonely but never alone.

Yep, I have a picture of them somewhere. Hmmm here they are [link] They are great to use for references. I don't usually use refs for skulls now except for shading XD
XD I love characters like that. Do you have a pic of him?

Awesome! Oh my, the giant one haha...
I'd still need references, but I don't draw skulls that often.
Even though I find skeletal characters and skulls cool, too. C:
More than one, but this was the first one [link] His name is Jethro. C:
also sneakily starts to watch you oops

Haha that be my horse skull XD Crawled under a barb wire fence to get that. *whistles casually* It's so weird, but I find draw skulls relaxing. Maybe cause they are just a familiar and natural thing. IDK
Oooh look at him!!! His hat makes me all kinds of happy.
Oh what's this? Some creeper? XD Thanks so much!

LazyBasy In reply to MBPanther [2013-06-10 20:14:07 +0000 UTC]
Pfff xD
Well skulls are pretty... dead. They don't talk, they can't attack you, and they look neat.
I can understand why drawing them is relaxing.
Yeeees, I don't draw him often enough. But at least he appeared in a short comic haha.
Yeh, a rather inactive, rarely talkative creeper psshh. You're welcome. C:
