My sister used to watch this show all the time, and to this day I can remember the lyrics to that awful theme song, still, I wouldn't trade the time I spent watching that show with her for anything in the world, mostly because we made a lot of jokes during it. This is a great picture, the colors are wonderful

But this is quite disappointing that you got your old work a DD than your new work that has a spark and more well deserving. But this clearly shows you have improved deeply for almost 6 years.

It seems kind of unfair since more people will judge you based on this, which as I said is OK but it's clear you've improved. Plus you're bound to get a bunch of comments on how this shouldn't have been featured, it happens even when the DD is actually really great but when it's less than great it's worse.

But some people will also take a look at the gallery and see for themselves if what they see is good enough or not.
And I can deal with the comments. I either explain my thoughts to them, and if they understand, then fine. And if they still decide to be a bitch about it, well then fine as well but I won't waste my time talking to them anymore.

I know, the picture lacks sme depth / shading and highlighting...
I wanted them to be floating for some reasons, but you're right, it's missing a background. I have to admit I hate backgrounds and I was too lazy to draw one. /Shame on me.

To be honest, I prefer critiques over 'cute' comments, because critiques helps you get better.

:3 I'll give cute comments to my friends or to a piece that I just don't know what to say about it. I do that more for my friends because I know that a lot of them (a good chunk of my watchers are under 17) are still learning, and I'll give them advice and tutorial links and whatnot occasionally. I like to sit back and watch how they develop their art mostly, and I'll step in when they need some guidance :3
Backgrounds are an afterthought to me almost all of the time XD I'm just soooooo not a fan of making backgrounds. Same thing goes for using the human figure. It's hard for me to get into that when I'm at university, and I get frustrated so fast and then a professor will hover and then I'm making this face on the inside:
