Oh, I just took the original picture and used my tablet to paint over it. I did a sketch of how I wanted it to look in a separate layer and used that as a reference to what I wanted to do. I took a lot of color samples from the original and blended them with other colors. Did that help?

Like in [link] ? I erased the hair to a little shorter than I wanted, and drew in the strands to the length I wanted following the original lighting of the hair. In this one, the background is removed and a new one put in, so that saved me a lot of work with the background.

What program do you use to do your manips?

sumo paint I work from a library and you can't download anything on them

Ok, so it looks a lot like Photoshop CS4. When I change the color of something, I use the blending mode option. First I desaturate the area, and in another layer I paint the area with the color I want to change it to, and I'll changing it to overlay, or multiply. Is that helpful?

ugh my head hurts I got a blur and smudge tool I use then the lasso and magic wand too too remove stuff add stuff or change the color like on outfits
