Description Episode 1 - New chapter

Subject  1 is Simon Smith. He  wakes up in an asylum room. No windows. There's a speaker on the wall. At first, as he wakes up and realizes his strange surroundings, he doesn't know what to make of his situation. He goes to the door and tries to open it, but it's locked.
"Hello? Is anyone out there?" he shouts and beats at the door. No one answers.
"Hello?! Where the Hell am I?!" he shouts, now with a small hint of fear in his tone.
He tries to remember the last thing that happened before he woke up.
He shudders slightly.
He remembers falling asleep at home, and yet here he is. He can't believe it.
"What the fuck? Is this a joke? Someone open the door!"
A while later, someone talks at the speaker with a mechanical voice, edited probably so it wouldn't be recognized:
"Hello, Simon. I'm glad you're awake"
"Who are you? Why am I here?!"
"It's not for you to know who I am. The less you know, the better for us, you see…"
"You've gotta be kidding me! Who the hell do you think you are?! Let me out of here now!"
"I'm afraid that isn't possible, Simon. Please understand that it is in both of our interest for you to cooperate with us."
"Let me outa here."
"You are a paragon of humanity, sir! You have been brought here because of your heritage, because you have been left with something far greater than anyone of us could ever dream to have! You are here so we can help you reach your true potential…"
"What the hell are you talking about?... I'm a salesman from a convenience store!"
"…"
"I don't know what you guys think, but you're mistaken! …Look, if you want a ransom, you got the wrong guy!I'm not rich!"
"Nonetheless if you believe me or not, you're not leaving here."
"What?"
"You will stay here under our supervision for a while. You better get used to it."
"People will notice I'm  gone!…"
"Goodbye, Mr. Smith"
"You can't do this! Hey!..."

Episode 2 - The prisoner's diary

I've been locked up in here for weeks. I can't tell how long it's been.
I wake up, I stare at the ceiling for hours. The silence is driving me nuts!
They send me tests from time to time, with strange questions you'd expect at a 6th grade child's test. Common sense stuff, like: What's heavier, a pound of feathers or a pound of lead. I'm guessing they want to check my mental status with them.  I'm answering them, since I wanna check it myself… Also, they're the ones with the upper hand, so a little ass kissing sounds like a good idea… I just wish it would feel like it too.
They put something in my food to put me to sleep. God knows what they're doing to me while I'm out. After the first time they tried that on me,I tried playing dead, hoping they'd open the door, but they gassed me to sleep. I don't know how they saw through my trick. What gave me away??I thought about going on a little diet, but I'm guessing they'd strap me up and tube-feed me.They want me here for a reason, and they won't let me die.
My dreams are so strange. I've been here for a while now, so my best guess is that delusional people tend to have these kinds of dreams. They're a safe haven, though. Sometimes it's the only time I finally stop thinking, since all I do all day is think. Imagining the worst possible outcome seems to be part of my personality, since I can't think positive no matter what I do.  I try hoping for the best, but then I just tell myself that as long as no one  opens that door, as long as they still have gass to put me to sleep with, I'm not going anywhere.
More weeks have passed. I think I'm finally losing it… well, what's left of IT anyway. There are times when I see things in the corner of the eye, or hear whispers, like echoes … I think someone was trying to talk to me today… What is happening to me? Is this what the guy from the speaker was talking about or am I going insane?... Maybe I'm just a psycho that belongs where he is right now… in an asylum…
As the days passed, the "visions" grew clearer. It's too much to compare to sight; it's more like the feeling that tells you someone's behind you. But it's so clear, as clear as when you see someone right in front of you.
I don't know if my senses are going nuts or I am. I cry out through the door, but they never answer.
God… is this what the guy from the speaker was talking about?
I HAVE to find a way to get out… but I can't without external help!
Today I heard voices again. This time they were… clearer than crystal. They told me that if I want to escape, I have to stay awake no matter what. And so I did. I didn't ask myself if I wasn't, by any chance, delusional. It didn't matter. Even if it would be for a little while, I'd embrace any hope I'd find, no matter how delusional.

Episode 3 - Strange breakout…

Hours have passed. They felt like days. After a while, I could hear commotion from outside. Later I could sense the fuss moved right in front of my cell. Some guy with his face covered by a scarf and sunglasses quickly opened the door and grabbed my arm, saying:
"Oi! No time to explain! We're here to bust ya out!"
"Huh…?"
He uncovered his face and said:
" Come on! The guards are coming!"
"O…okay!"
The mysterious character was a kid, no older than 20. The expression on his face made me think I could trust him. Anyway, this was the chance I was waiting for this entire time.
I ran as fast as I could trying to keep up with him. I guess I got weaker while I was locked up.
" What's your name?"
" ?... I'm Simon "
" I'm Brooklin."
Simon: " Really?"
Brooklin: "Oi! Save your breath. You're slowing us down."
Simon: " How much longer?"
Brooklin: "Not far."
Just then I sensed another  group of people behind the next corner.
Simon: "Hold up!"
B: "What is it?"
S: "There are others nearby.
B: "Huh?"
S: "Don't ask me how I know! They're by the corner! You have to believe me!"
B: "Wow, man, relax. I believe you."
S: "…You do?"
B: "Yeah, you got the same sense like Trish."
S: "?"
B: "Anyway, don't worry. The guys you sensed, they're with me."
S: "o_O"
B: "OI! TRISH! JACK!"
Jack: " Jees Brook! You trying to gather the whole Syndicate on our asses?!"
Brook: " Oh! Sorry! My bad!"
Jack: " No shit!"
Brook: "Anyways, I brought Simon! Simon, meet my friends :3"
Simon: "Uhm… Hi."
Trish: "Hi ^^"
Jack: "Is this him?"
Brook: "Yeah. He can sense…"
Jack: "Then let's get out of here!"
Simon: "UHM… Sorry guys, but I'm not sure if I can run too far. I haven't eaten decently in a while, and…"
Jack: " Brook, give 'em a piggy back."
Brook: " Alright!"
Brooklin picks up Simon, a roughly 70 kg adult man, like he was nothing.
Simon: "O_O… ?"
Brooklin: "Okay, let's go!"

Episode 4 - My new 'friends'

Brooklin could keep up with the others very easily despite his extra luggage. Truth is, he could outrun everyone even so. He'd run ahead of them for a few times:
Jack: "Brook! Wait up! We need to stick together!"
Brooklin: "Oh! Sorry, mate, didn't notice when I left you guys behind. Guess you're slower than I thought."
Jack: "We're not slow, you moron! You're the one with inhuman stamina! I hoped that if you were carrying this guy on your back you'd slow down a bit!"
Brook: " Yeah, well I can't help it if you're slower than an old granny!"
Jack: "Brook, at least for THIS once, could you TRY to pretend to have some degree of common sense!?"
Trish: "Will you guys stop it? We're friends, we shouldn't fight!"
Brook: " She's right, man. Friends shouldn't fight."
Jack: "… We have to stick together until we get out of here. I think I said that earlier… -_-#"
Trish: "Then I guess we should do just that, right?"
Jack: "Right."
Brook: "We can fight when we get out of here though, right?"
Jack: "Of course we can, Brook ol' buddy "
Trish & Simon: ^^'
A few moments later we finally reach the exit.
Trish: "The outside is swarming with people. It looks like an ambush!"
Jack: "Don't worry, Trish. Me and Brook will just do our thing. Just tell us how many and where they are."
Trish: "I'm counting around 15 of them."
Brook: "Awww man! Only 15?"
Jack: "Maybe next time, Brook. "
As they said that, they rushed out the doors, leaving the other 2 behind. Gunshots could be heard from all around. It sounded like a warzone. Simon couldn't believe his senses: he'd receive readings from his 2 companions from all over the place, and the guards would fall one by one.
Simon: "What the Hell have I gotten myself into?"

Episode 5 - Is there a doctor in the house?

Apparently, Simon had the same powers as Trish: telepathy. She could sense other people's presence and after a while of practice and experience, she could communicate with others.
Brooklin has an "inhuman" amount of adrenaline in his body, therefore being faster, stronger, he has more stamina and incredible reflexes, to the point where he doesn't need help in bringing down most of those 15 guards by himself. Too bad he's too hot-headed to actually dodge the bullets (which he could, if he would stay focused, but he's too hot-headed for that). Also, because all that adrenaline doesn't go away that easily, he never was exactly an A student in class.
We're left with Jack, who probably saved Brook a thousand times by now with his telekinetic shields and waves. 32 counted in this match.
Jack: "Well, at least one of us is trying to get us out of here in one piece… "
After the fight, Jack said:
"You fought like a girl."
Brook: "I'd like to see you fight like a girl, man! It would be an improvement!"
Jack: "Oh please! You would've died a dozen times if it weren't for me!… "
Meanwhile:
Trish: "Ok, I think the coast is clear."
Simon: "Are they always like this?"
Trish: "Jack hates it when he has to cover Brooklin's back. He says he's too distracted to cover his own while he's at it."
Simon: "He said that?... "
Jack: "… although I feel I should congratulate you for not tripping on a grenade this time."
Brook: "Oi! That grenade jumped right in front of me alright?…"
Jack: "Sure it did!"
Brook: "I told you before!..."
Trish: "This might take a while…"
Simon: "But shouldn't we be leaving?"
Trish: "Try telling them that..."
Simon: "Ok..."
Trish: "Bad idea..."

Episode 6 - Break-fast time

Jack: "All right. Let's go. They're probably assembling an army to catch us as we speak… again."
Brooklin: "I agree. "
Trish: " I think we should wake up Simon first."
Jack: "Who?"
Brooklin: "What? He's sleeping at a time like this?"
Trish: "Erm… You know… The chip…"
Jack: "Huh?...Holy shit the chip!"
Brooklin: "What chip?"
Jack (while slapping & shaking Simon): "Wake up man! Wake up!"
Trish: "You shouldn't have knocked him out of his senses B|"
Brooklin: "Yeah man that was totally uncool."
Jack: "Oh give me a break!"
Simon: X_X
Jack: "God damnit man wake up!"
Simon: …huh?
Jack: "WAKE UP! (bitchslap)"
Simon:  DX (back to sleep)
Trish:
Jack: O_O
Brooklin: "Aww…He's tired^~^"

Episode 7 - Seeing Isn't Believing

Simon: "So you're saying one of the guards knocked me out?"
Jack: "Yeah, yeah… You should watch your back next time… >_>;"
Brook & Trish: {yeah right  B(  }
Simon: "Huh…"
Jack: "Anyway… We're almost there!"
Simon: "Where's there?"
Jack: "A friend's place. We can rest there until things cool down a bit… We also need her to help us with something…"
A woman opens the door. She looks at them with concern:
" You sure you weren't followed?"
Jack: "Don't worry. We made sure to cover our tracks…"
?: "All right, then. Is this the patient?"
Simon: "Huh?"
Jack: "Yes. Sam, this is Simon. Simon, Samantha."
Sam: "Come in already, before any neighbors see you…"
Jack: "Nice place you got here."
Simon: "Erm… Sorry but why did you call me a patient?"
Sam: "What, they didn't tell you?"
Simon: "…Tell me what?"
Jack: "Look, it isn't that easy to explain!"
Sam: "All right, I'll tell him. I'm a professional anyway… You should sit down before I tell you though."
Simon: "All right. What's the problem?"
Sam: "It might be a little strange to hear, but here: You have a probe in your head."
Simon: "…Excuse me?"
Sam: "The people who abducted you implanted a microchip in your brain while you were asleep in order to better monitor your progress and health."
Simon: "What?? Hold on…"
Sam: "… It's the same thing they did to them (pointing at the others). Fortunately, it's only active and usable while your brain's activity is low. In other words, when you're sleeping. As  soon as you fall asleep, it immediately activates and transmits your position, calling the Syndicate here."
Jack: "That's why we need to get it out…"
Simon: (gets up)"Hold on a minute!..."
Sam: "This is hard to believe, we know. But think about it... you probably noticed a little scar on the back of your head, didn't you?"
Actually, he did. He would also have a splitting headache every time he would wake up. Her story wasn't that hard to believe, but how could anyone in his position trust anyone else with something like that?
Simon: "Okay, let's say I believe you. But you said THEY had done the same thing to you guys as well. So how come they didn't catch you yet?"
Sam: "It's because they were lucky enough to have me to remove the chips."
Simon: "What?"
Sam: "But how I did it back then isn't important now. Right now we need to take care of you."
Simon: "Okay, okay... What were you planning?"
Sam: "It's a simple procedure, really. All we needed is for Trish to hypnotise you and I'll take care of the rest. We gathered the required instruments for the procedure; it'll be over before you know it."
Simon: "You mean you're going to operate on me here?!"
Simon looks at their expressions. It's clear to him how worried they are, but still…
Jack: "You have to trust us. You're in good hands!"

Episode 8 - "My last safe haven"

Simon's alone and thinking about what to do:
"I must be out of my mind. I'm trusting strangers with my life… but they're the ones who saved my life in the first place…Why did they risk their lives to save me? Is there any way for me to find out their intentions? How can I trust they won't plant a probe in my head themselves?...
On the other hand, they didn't have to explain anything to me. They could just knock me out and strap me on the operating table…
They seem so sincere… I guess I owe them a little trust, don't I?... fine."
Sam: "Are you ready?"
Simon: "Let's get this over with."
Trish: " … So, what do you want to dream about?"
Simon: " ?..."
Trish: "For the hypnosis … I'm just gonna have you think you're somewhere else. So, if there's somewhere you want to be, somewhere you're unlikely to want to leave for a while…"
Simon: "Huh… so dreams still are my last safe haven… "
Trish: " … You know what?"
Simon: "What?"
Trish: "Don't worry about the dream. I've got something to show you. "
Simon lied down on the table, his head strapped still on an extension, face down. He couldn't see them, but he could hear Trish:
"Close your eyes… There's a place I'm sure you'll like..."

Episode 9 - "You can look now"

When he opened his eyes, he found himself outside, at a cliff overlooking the sea. Simon couldn't remember how he got there, but he didn't really put much thought to it either.
It was night, but the place they were at had lights from lanterns and the nearby hotel. There wasn't anyone else around, except for Trish. She was hanging over the fence, looking at the sea. There wasn't a single wave. She seemed so distant.
Simon: "It's beautiful."
Trish: "Yeah… I used to come down there with my friends when I was little. We had so much fun, until I moved away."
Simon: " Huh… I wish I grew up here too."
Trish: "Where did you grow up?"
Simon: "… Well, I grew up in the city. I don't recall finding any place like this near where I lived, but I did have friends to hang out with."
Trish: "Have you ever been to a beach?"
Simon: " A few times. I'd skip classes with some friends and go see it. I wouldn't agree, but they'd talk me into it. Now, I wish I would've went with them more often… What about you?"
Trish:  "What about me?"
Simon: "Well, I'm guessing you would come back to a place like this if you could, so…"
Trish: "I didn't get to come back… "
Simon: "Uh-huuh… "
Trish: "What?"
Simon: "Oh, nothing. I was just wondering why you'd lie."
Trish: "Was it that obvious?"
Simon: "Well, no. I was just checking to see if my sudden suspicion was right."
Trish: "Huh. Maybe I'll remember not to bother trying to lie to you next time we're in sync."
Simon: "Oh kay, then I'll remember to ask you things you'd normally lie to, next time we're in sync^^"
Trish: "You know, two can play that game, right?"
Simon: " >_>; "
Trish: " >B) "
Simon: "Aanyway… you didn't answer my question. (whew)"
Trish: "Well, if you really want to know, I did come back. A few years after we moved, around when I was 16 or so. This place didn't change a bit, but my friends did. Somehow, this place wasn't the same when I came back, although it really remained the same."
She seemed even more distant now.
Simon: "Do you regret coming back?"
Trish: "No, quite the opposite. I found out that the past is just that: past, nothing more. All we can do is look back and hope we'll find the same kind of happiness again some day."
Simon: "Huh… I think you're right."

Epilogue

What happened next was that Samantha finished removing the transmitter and finally put him to sleep. Simon faded out of the scene before he knew it
Samantha, as she sew the last stitches: "There, that should about do it… Could you pass me the bandages?"
Jack: " Here. Is he going to need a wig after this? It looks pretty ugly."
Sam: "What's that supposed to mean? You're saying I didn't do a good job?"
Jack: "Erg… no, of course you did… I was just a bit concerned."
Sam: "Oh, just stop worrying… I made a bigger incision on your thick head and there's nothing to notice there either… Hold here."
Jack: " ¬¬; … if you say so…"
Sam: "…Although I think he might want to borrow one of your hats until his hair grows back. It is getting a bit chilly outside. "
Jack: "That's your reason?"
Sam: " As I said, it's barely two inches. It'll retreat over time."
Jack: "… Anyway. How safe is it here?"
Sam: "I made sure the people we rented this place from weren't on any of the lists the Syndicate have. I tried checking on the people living around here as well as I could, but I'm not putting my hopes up. It's just a matter of chance now."
Jack: "I see. What about the police?"
Sam: "Same as always. The Syndicate packed and left right before they arrived. They did catch a few of the guards you left lying around, but they'll have to let them go sooner or later…"
That's because they don't have any conclusive evidence to lock them up. Officially, they're just private guards. The Syndicate covered up everything. They have people everywhere. Still, they're not invisible. A wide-scale organization, capable of masking themselves so efficiently, still leave traces. Every one person makes more or less mistakes. There also are accidents, like the one caused today. So far, they at least know they exist. The FBI are investigating it, but such things take time.
Back to our story, Trish finally decided to join us back to reality.
Sam: "Oh, I see you woke up. Had fun in dreamland?"
Trish: "Huh...? Wait… what's that supposed to mean?"
Sam: "Oh, nothing… "
Trish: (what, that again?) …
Sam:  >B)
Jack:  -_-;
Sam: "You did great. The operation went smoothly. Jack, could you go check on Brook? I think he already fell asleep by now."
Jack: " ?… I had him stay on guard duty…"
Sam: "Exactly why I'm sending you to check."
After he left:
Sam: "Are you all right?"
Trish: "I'm fine."
Sam: "Come on. Is it the new kid?"
Trish: "No"
Sam: " Sorry I couldn't let your date go on ^^"
Trish: "owo It wasn't a date!"
She starts pinching her: " Then why are you blushing?"
" Cut it out! Cut i.. Eep!"
" Hey! Not so loud! You might wake him up!"
" I'll stop when you stop! Is this why you sent Jack out?"
" Ouch! You think I'd stoop that low? You deserve a beating! "
" XD "
Waiting for things to change is a burden. The longer you wait, the more you're inclined to giving up. Always on the run, you might forget why you're running in the first place.
Trish: ...
Sam: "Look. If you keep it all bottled up inside, you'll just end up hurting yourself. I thought you knew you could talk with me when there was something bothering you…"
Trish: " I just… don't want to be a bother…"
Sam stared at her; she obviously didn't like what she heard.
Sam: "You idiot… I just told you, you can't keep it all bottled inside… You don't know how it feels from this end, to see you upset like this…"
After a while, you don't even care about the reason you're running. You just want to stop. Collapsing on the way becomes an option, since there's no sign of an end.
Trish, finally: "How long have we been on the run?"
Sam: " For six months. Six months since I busted you out…"
Sometimes, having someone to tell you to stop running, before you collapse…
