Wick Slime
Diet: Fruit
Favorite: Waxy Plum
Slimeology: Wick Slimes mostly come out at night and prefer dark places. They aren't as bright as Phosphors, but their flame's heat is good enough protection from the cold that they can go where most slimes wouldn't dare. Just keep them away from water.
Rancher Risks: Wick Slimes are best kept a reasonable distance away from ranchers, as the flames on their heads not only burn on contact but can also hurt you through convection. Also, water puts out their flames, making them distraught and causing them to refuse to eat until reignited. On the bright side, they're immune to incinerators when wet.
Plortonomics: Wick Plorts give off a soft glow due to a small flame in the middle. This flame has proven to be an efficient fire starter that's easy to extinguish with water, while unaffected by wind. Due to this, most campsites and barbecues have replaced their lighting implements with wick plorts. Also, the soft glow of a wick wlort is dimmer than that of a phosphor plort, making pick plorts work better as night lights.
