This is from the first chapter of the wonderful fan fic called Unspoiled, written by ~forthrightly
As you might figure from the picture, Kagome gets sent further back in time and meets a very young Sesshoumaru.
I love this story, and at the moment I feel very inspired to draw more from it.

This may not be exactly how it happened (like I know young Sesshoumaru was standing on the rim of the well), but this was how I saw the scene when I read it.
Kagome is supposed to be dripping wet from trying to "drown herself", hence the very flat hair. And since this is drawn by hand, I didn't draw flowers on her dress either, because I know that would have looked terrible.

Okay, I keep criticizing myself for my art, and I can never think of good backgrounds for my pictures. That has always stressed me out, making me procrastinate finishing them. But you know what? I don't care anymore. Now I will draw whatever I like, background or no background. As long as I draw these pictures purely for my own pleasure, I'll do as I please (commissioned pictures are of course the exception).
It's sad that it took me this long to figure that out, though... *shakes head*
