Sorry if this is confusing, it's my first tutorial.
This is for GIMP. I think it's applicable to Photoshop too though.
asked me about this, so I made a tutorial for her.

I haven't used Manga Studio, but I've heard a lot of praise for it. I'm using Gimp because it's free (and I'm so cheap, hahaha... =u= ). Gimp is a lot like Photoshop, except Photoshop is better. You just have to look and download the brushes and screentone patterns, and you end up with something that looks vaguely like manga (like my stuff! lol).
Try different programs, and you'll find something that suits you the best! (I'm just too lazy to do that hahaha... /sob)

Hahaha funny thing
I was searching for a tutorial that teaches how to panel and then I got to this one and saw the art and was all like "ZOMG, it looks like jonah drew that omgomg, it probably isnt and if i'd say it to her she would probably be insulted that i think someone draws similar to her and ..etc" So it was funny to scroll down and see that it actually was you who drew it >x3 HOW SILLY

Did you do the lineart before you scanned or on gimp?

I draw it in pencil and then I ink with a pen. I used to ink with Gimp in the earlier pages, which was a little neater, but time-consuming because I kept moving things around.

Haha, I feel you, my hands sweat a lot, so I have to be careful when I ink traditionally. ><; It helps to tell yourself that if you make a mistake, you can fix it digitally.
