Description
Been meaning to draw another orca pic for a while.Name: MingYue
(I know many people can't pronounce the Chinese or do not know how to, so you can pronounce it like Ming Yweh or Ming Wei if it's easier for it. Yue is not very English-friendly lol) Or just call her Ming for short
Name meaning: Bright moon
Age: Late 20s
Origin: A transient caught in Taiji
Relatives: Bomu (male), her brother
Calves: 3 (all deceased)
Temperament: She is unpredictable and moody; waterwork is not allowed with her. She has a soft spot for young orcas, even those that are not her own, and is surprisingly very gentle among them. Because of this, she will most often be kept in the same tank as younger whales. On the other hand she has a tendency to pick fights with adult females, especially the matriarch. As bossy and volatile as she is, the other whales do not like her and will refuse to see her as a matriarch.
History: MingYue and her suspected to be brother, Bomu, were caught from a transient pod in Taiji and sold to a park in China. They were about 2-5 years of age at the time of capture. Ming was the dominant of the two, and a generally very moody orca. Trainers were not allowed to go in the water with her because of several incidents involving attacking her trainers. She and Bomu had 3 calves together within the next 15 years, all of which did not live past 2 years of age, likely due to being inbred. After the third died, she started becoming more aggressive than usual, and as a result she was moved to a park in Japan, also to separate her from her brother. She lived there as the only orca, with 3 bottle nose dolphin tankmates. On one of her frequent outbursts, she killed one of her tank mates. She was moved once again to a park in America to be with other orcas and more experienced orca trainers who could possibly help her. She has since continued to be aggressive and often gets in fights with the other whales, however she does seem to be doing slightly better now that she is not alone. Her outbursts towards trainers, since, have been fairly minimized.
I didn't name any parks specifically, because it really depends on the RP I guess.
EDIT: I just noticed my signature is backwards... Lol oh well.

For sure! I'll link you:

It's a satirical speech, so I have to take the opposite viewpoint, and the information on the slides won't be used. It's a bit confusing, but yeah
Thanks for letting me use your art!

It's a pretty picture and believable back story. Anyone caught in a Taiji hunt probably would be a little moody after what they witnessed...
I like the little pink around her chin.

Thank you! Yes, well, all orca captures seem pretty damn traumatic, I guess all but for the few rescues where it would probably feel like a relief... (Morgan and Kshamenk))
I love it when orcas have that little 'lipstick' mark. :3
