When we went to go see L: Change the World in the theatre, there's this part where Near keeps shouting 13:11! 13:11!And I heard our friend Melissa yell something like "What's that? Timmy stuck in a well?!"
I lol'd so much
So this idea came from her.I think I heard something like this on Family Guy too
.Oh yeah, & I forgot what that scientist or doctor dude looked like XD. (guy on the left)
I think I like drawing people with their hands in the air when they shout, they look funny!
EDIT:
13:11 actually stood for MK, as in the alphabet.
They were initials for MidKine.
EDIT:
I just noticed the old dude looks like Professor Oak! I knew he looked familiar for some reason!

Near's only mentioned 2 or 3 times in the novel. Um...in the moving...in one part, is L in drag in a crepe truck? haven't seen the movie yet...that's a mission for another day

The novel and the movie are very very different. The novel follows canon more and the movie is it's whole plotline. In the movie Near is a little Thai boy who escapes a village that gets kit with a virus and bombed and he tags along with l and Maki during the whole movie, doing nothing but being cute. Unfortunately there is no L in drag scene. I'd see the movie. It takes way too many liberties with the plot and kind of dumbs L down IMHO, but I'd see it just to see it.

that movie was a bit over dramatic though. with all the dead pple flopping over the place. also when that girls father died and he just had to jump of the ground and throw himself at the window again so we could allllll see him bleeding.

I couldnt hear the kid at first and then the video kind of jumped (watching online) so it went like this:
"13:11! 13:11!"
"Midkine!"
I was really confused because I thought Near was saying "Feed eleven!"

I remember watching that. At first, I thought he said, "Sardine Level." It wasn't until later when I realized that he solved Maki's puzzle. Also, 13 = M and 11 = K.

Heheh, I remember when my friend and I went to see it, in the scene where Near grabs the bag of potato chips and started eating them, me and another three people did the infamous potato chip line...
And the entire theater laughed. ^-\\

I would have been one of those who laughed
It's fun to shout things and make the theatre laugh, though I only did a couple times.
Like, I remember when L was running to rescue the girl, I sang "Go Go Ryuzaki!" like in the Power Rangers theme & made them laugh

My big solo "make-them-all-laugh" moment was when the one bad guy gets impatient and just shoves a bunch of stuff off of a desk, then just sits back down.
My reaction?
"THAT'S NOT GONNA MAKE IT *GO* ANY FASTER!"
