Goblin Slayer-san got a gift from another slayer...Hello, thank you for stopping by.
This is my first (serious) attempt to make a comic. Even then, it took long enough to complete this at merely four pages,
and it's not even very polished up because it'll take too much time.
My original idea was actually just the last panel, single artwork as usual, but this time I want to expand it just a bit.
Making a comic is and will always harder than making a single illustration, and I always failed to complete the task in the past.
I'm just glad I can finish this one, even if it's very short.
I've tried submitting this using that Madefire Motion Book tool yesterday, but much to my frustration, it always failed to upload
So I had to rearrange this into a strip format. Hey deviantART, when will you guys implement a system for submitting comic pages?!

Bullshit. nobody tells Goblin Slayer what to do or how he should kill goblins,
especially that elf girl bitch. also, it is said that not even the gods roll the dice
on him. which means Goblin Slayer decides his own fate or destiny and gives zero fucks
about whoever gets in his way.

While granted, there's not much of an indication how much time has past between when he retrieved and opened the briefcase and then using the Shotgun, but I'm still rather impressed from what is shown, how quickly he's learned how to put it to effective use.
That, and it's totally in character for Priestess to have kind of reaction(s) she has from it, I can only imagine what kind of reaction the other party members or really, anyone else in the GS world would have with that or any kind of notable firearm.
I am interested in seeing where this may go, and I think you've done a very good job.
Perhaps because I'm a crappy artist and also because I'm aware what amount of effort and time was put into this that I'm hard pressed to come up with any useful criticism. You've done some good work, and it brought a smile to my face.

I'm aware of this comic making its round through Reddit and Know Your Meme, and while I'm glad that most resonated with my idea and having fun seeing these,
I'm also amused to see that some people are taking this like waaay too seriously, like talking about how firing a gun in an enclosed space without ear protection is a bad idea,
or how a low rate of fire and reloading speed of a shotgun makes it a disadvantage when facing hordes of goblins, etc etc...
It's not my intention for this to serve as some sort of thought-provoking-piece on introducing modern firearms into a fantasy society and its consequences.
(most likely it will be a bit similar to when Japan are opening up to the outside world for the first time in the 18th century)
This is just me having fun with Counterpart Comparison trope, which I absolutely love as a fan of many things.
I kind of want to say "don't think about it too much", but then again, thinking too much about something is also a fan's way of having fun.
Unfortunately I don't have the time to explore the idea further; I'm busy with commissions, and people's attention spans are short enough that
even if I managed to make another chapter, most will already moved on to the next things by the time it comes out (myself included).

That and I'm both amused and not surprised that yeah, some would be very analytical about it but, it is what it is.
Then again I'm taking FOREVER with some things because I'm trying (and failing) to put as much research into something so it actually seems somewhat accurate, and fair enough in regards to not being able to explore the idea much at the moment due to comissions and such.
It is fun though to speculate about some thing and whatnot. and I would ramble more but, I'd be making less sense the more I go on.

For all his stoicness (or perhaps because of it), GS still let himself got scolded by those two girls in his party. He's gentler than most people thought.

But priestess is the only one that doesn't put objection to his methods (the scene from the anime where she and elf tell him to not use "fire, poison and water" is original from it, in the LN and manga elf is the only one that complains). In a later LN GS comes out with "pus arrows", elf bitches but he ignores her and by own will ask priestess if she thinks is too much, she basically says "uh...ok".
