A speed paint fan-art of Solaire of Astoria, aka Sunbro, one of the few energetic characters in Dark Souls.

Solaire is a weird knight who is obsessed of the sun. First impression of Solaire to me is a silly knight in Monty-Python and Holy Grail style with weird color clothings, some kind of hilarious.

Most of the characters in the game have their hidden agenda or sinister plans, however Solaire tells his naive plan first. He claims he seeks his very own sun, without any other plots, and eager help the Chosen Undead (Protagonist) or other people. His gears are common, that his power is only the result of rigorous training.

"Oh, hello there. I will stay behind, to gaze at the sun.
The sun is a wondrous body. Like a magnificent father!
If only I could be so grossly incandescent!"

In a world of dark and sinister, Solaire was already grossly incandescent.
