Well, its finally done. It took me roughly about 2-3 hours to do (Dang!) My Death Note for my Matt cosplay!
I'm really grateful for the person in this video who explained how to make a death note. [link] How i made mine was exactly the way she did it except my way of making it was different. Same steps, different materials.
Items used,
Black and White Acrylic paint
paint brush
scissors
notebook
nail clippers (to trim the stickers)
a giant white sticker
this referance to trace the cover for the death note[link]
newspaper to lay the death note on top of
Honestly, i'm absolutely loving the way this came out. The fact that i put all of this time into MAKING it myself, it makes me feel good on the inside. its that proud feeling that you get when you do somthing good.
but cutting out those stickers was the most time consuming part in making this thing! D< i spent like a whole hour cutting them out and getting them in the correct spot. Its worth it though.

ive been tryint to look online for toutorials how to make one myself.. im no tsure if itd be cheeper to make one or get it off amazon.. idk lol

its cheaper to make one. i posted a link to a tutorial in the artists comments. if you follow those instructions, you'll be fine.

It's better than some of the ones I've seen in the stores... The black seems to show brushstrokes, a sponge brush might have been smoother, but that effect was probably enhanced by the camera anyways.

Thanks. And yea, down by the bottom you can see where the brush strokes are at. But i don't have that many brushes so i had to improvise with what i did have.
Also since i finished this around 11pm, the lighting was a serious effect on it.
