The room was hazy with smoke as Agent Pauline observed the crowd around her. It was her off day but she received a tip that her elusive boss would be at the club. She had already been here for a while and was thinking off calling it a bust.

“What is a lovely dame like you standing here all alone?”

Pauline looked over to the gentleman that had slipped by her radar. She kept a smile on her face as she turned towards him hoping she kept her surprise unnoticed.

“Hello there Suga’… Just enjoying a night out. How about you handsome?” She couldn’t help notice that he really was handsome. His hair was slick back with strands falling down in a charming manner. His eyes twinkled and his smile was nice if not a bit dangerous looking.

“Oh, just checking on my clientele, making sure they are having a good time.”

Oh! She felt like a rookie again. She was literally having a conversation with her target. The elusive boss that the agency was trying to put behind bars. The notorious gangster that was ruling the underbelly of the city, Jerome McNabe.
