I'm usually at a loss for titles, I wanted to come up with something more lovey-dovey than "Cloud Nine"....but then I thought "Well that's where Mordecai is right now, so why not?
" So anyone who's seen my Regular Show meme [link] seen this one under "Do you have an OTP?" but then KuramaBunnyLover liked it so much and said "you should color it
" To which I replied "....I SHOULD, shouldn't I?" I mean I had intended to color each one of the sketches I did on that meme, but since that one got singled out, I figured I'd go ahead.Plus staring at the Regular Love is a great remedy for artistic burn out.
Anyway, I had wanted to do a Morderet drawing for quite a while, I'm thinking ever since I saw that Mordecai was crushing on Margaret. In a cute "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" way (Death Bear, Bad Kiss, Butt Dial), not in the "Little Red Corvette" way (Slam Dunk (ESPECIALLY this one!
), Caffeinated Tickets). Granted when they played that music and emphasized Margaret's butt and I was laughing MINE off, but I like it more when Mordecai's fawning over her. By the way, nobody make any "Little Red Corvette" jokes about Margaret, ya hear?! Just because she used to have a boyfriend every other episode in the past don't mean she let any of them "drive".
So there ya have it. Rinnysega actually liked the contour drawing and wanted to see more Morderet from me.....so here ya are, m'lady

Actually, I don't know if it's true, but I read that there's gonna be an episode in season 5 called "Birds of a Feather" where they have a real kiss. ^^

What's strange, ever since I saw "One Pull Up" I'm now more into Rigleen than Morderet. My canon OTPs kinda flip-flopped

It's exactly because of what you describe that I hope they get together. The whole 'Mordecai is a good guy but oh he just can't get his girl who kinda likes him but doesn't fully appreciate him' feels played out at this point. Only two episodes about their relationship have been any good in that respect - Camping Can Be Cool and Bad Kiss - while I thought the likes of Cruisin' were (although really fun episodes) lame in terms of this particular arc. Meanwhile we only very, very rarely get to see Margaret as an actual character, as opposed to an object of Mordo's desire. Her storytelling in the Hallowe'en Christmas special was awesome, and we need to see more of that imagination that she has... and the only way we can do that is if we can get past the whole will-they-won't-they thing and just let them be themselves. It might even help Mordo as a character, who knows?

And yes, you brought up some good points. I was wishing they'd show more episodes that show Margaret's character in depth, even if it was just one for right now and the rest later on. In one interview with the cast, someone already brought it up if Margaret and Eileen would be in the spotlight more.
There was one scene in "Cruisin'" that I love, Margaret and Eileen were kinda taunting the guys with the menu of "Il Costozzo's":
Margaret: Ooh or Kobe Braised Short Ribs ala Gold Leaf? $41
Mordecai: You'll fill up on bread!!
Margaret: Oh you mean the Rustic Artisan Cheese Bread imported from France? That's $15
