I spent a couple hours today to produce this. The character designs in Final Fantasy XII are even more detailed than the ones in Final Fantasy X. The tooling on the characters outfits--so complex. It's beautiful, but tedious to draw.Originally when I sat down to draw some FFXII fanart, I had intended to work on a sketch of Vayne (he's my fave FFXII character), but on a whim I did this instead (Sorry Vayne... Maybe next time). I really adore Fran and Balthier as a couple, so I thought it might be nice to do a sketch of them being snuggly together. Enjoy!

The proportioning looks a little off on Balthier's face and chest..but then again, his damned vest is SO intricate and difficult to draw!
I have a girl crush on Fran! She was so bad ass, but wasted in that game! Intelligent, skilled in many fields, great in hand-to-hand combat, cool-headed, and sexy.
