I suppose the wings on her back are there to make Penelo look especially angelic and sweet? That the impression I got from her, so the wings help add to that persona.

I'm really excited about the FFXII game coming out for the DS (no release date yet). Have you read about it? Penelo is in it, wearing an adorably cute dancer outfit.

I heard about it. The title of that is Revenant Wings and has Vaan and Penelo as sky pirates. I didn't want to dig in any too deeper since I didn't beat the game yet.

I'm working on Basch next, but I'll probably do Fran after that. Fran's my favorite, but I wanted to get all the other characters out of the way first and save her as a special treat for the end. ^^

Freaking adorable. My girlfriend hates Penelo because of her outfit and her Quick' attacks.
When I got the collector book (random character in the inside cover, ya know), I didn't open it up for about a week after I started the game, but the art book was inside, so I caved. She's sitting over my shoulder, saying "God, I hope it's not Penelo, I HATE Penelo!"

Oh, it was Ashe. I was hoping for Balthier or Fran, since I'm kind of indifferent toward the other characters.
Still, I keep the book packed up as much as I can, so it's not like I'm gonna see it very often anyway.
I was a little disappointed in the art book. I dunno if you got it, but skimming through it, it seems like it's mostly just renders of objects and ships, with very little in the way of drawings. Perhaps I didn't look thoroughly enough, but I was expecting it to be more the like FFIX art book, with lots of sketches and turnarounds and stuff.
