Great action shot!
Also, what's Regency Park like? I ask because I'm actually moving close to that area in a month or so.

Thank you!
Oh, that's awesome! Regency Park is a very nice area! They have a lot of events there. The park itself is pretty nice. There's a lake and some walking trails. And there's a very nice amphitheater. But, really it's those events that make it really worth visiting! In April they have the Wine, Food, Art & Music festival in the park. Wineries from all over come, and admission to the event includes a tasting glass and unlimited wine samples! Then in the summer the North Carolina Symphony has their summer park concert series at Regency Park with a different themed concert every weekend. This year I'm planning on attending their Harry Potter themed concert. But they are also doing an 80's concert, a Broadway concert, a music by Russian composers concert, and lots more! And then every Fourth of July the NC Symphony holds a free concert at Regency and there's fireworks after the concert. It's a lot of fun! Besides the symphony, other bands and musicians regularly perform concerts at Regency. I have tickets to the Weird Al concert there in June! Then in August, the Beer, Bourbon and Barbecue festival is at Regency. Again, your admission to the event includes a tasting glass for unlimited samples of beer and bourbon. And while the focus is mostly on beers and bourbons, they also have ciders, wines, as well as other liquors (vodka, tequila, gin, rum, etc. Some straight, some mixed in cocktails.) And then they also have plenty of good old southern barbecue to eat! Plus bands play and local vendors have booths up selling stuff. It's a lot of fun! In the fall, they have a big Diwali celebration at Regency. Then in December, they build and outdoor ice skating rink at Regency Park. So yeah, Regency Park is mostly known for holding lots of different events. But there are TONS of excellent parks in the area! Just around the corner from Regency is the Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve which is gorgeous! This area has greenway trails pretty much everywhere! I've lived here in the Triangle for for 22 years, so if you have any questions about the area or are looking for recommendations of what to check out once you move down here let me know! I'm more than happy to help!

Thanks for all the information and the watch! The only time I had ever been to NC before was when I had my second interview in January. I asked for a few extra days so I could go exploring, but most of that exploring ended up being far outside the city (I drove to the Outer Banks and back in one day because I wanted to see the Wright Brothers Memorial in case I didn't get the job and never came back). I also went to the zoo in Asheboro based on the recommendation of another deviant I stumbled upon. I definitely prefer doing outdoorsy things to city things, which is one of the reasons why I liked the area. It's not quite as urban as other cities near where I currently live.

Awesome! Yeah, I like this area a lot because it's just a short drive to the beach and a short drive to the mountains! What city are you moving to?

Definitely. Thanks! That was one thing I really liked about the area when I went down for my interview: how rural the city is. I say that because I'm used to cities like Philly and NYC where everything is so tightly packed. Half the time in Raleigh I felt like we were driving through the woods.
