Description
Ohio Central SD18M #6642 was originally a SD24 built for Southern as their #6345. [link] Later she would be sold to the Chicago & North Western as their #6642. While on the CNW she would lose both her turbo and dynamic brakes and would be rated as a SD18. [link]Some where along the line, before she wound up on the OHCR, she also would receive a chopped nose.

I know. I'd love to see one that wasn't castrated.

Why, in my mind's eye, can I see Harebell and Mousebell peeking out those front windows, maybe wearing old-fashioned engineer caps?
