Really cool, but better lighting/ background could benefit the creation

It can get brittle,. but i dont use air drying clay for teeh and claws. i find plastic pcs that has a shape that i want. for example: the teeth for this one, is made form small stegosaurus plates form a small stegosaurus toy, i break am and glue them.

makes since do you still make armatures for them like the one in this image. and i bet super sculty for teeth and claws would also work.

The detail for this creature model is absolutely...well. I can't find the words for it. I'm almost waiting for it to come alive. You have the artistic ability I would almost sell my soul for. lol

I like! The extended jaws and insectoid legs make it seem unearthly. Well done!

whoa, freaky! it's so creepy, but so well done! Great texture!
You paint in acrylic? Do you seal it in with a glaze or anything, or do you leave it as is?

thanks.
yes i painted it with acrylic, then i used a spray fixative to coat it just for protection, which gave it that half glazy look.

Another great creature design. I like when a creature design is biologically feasible.

oops.. ignore my first reply, i was refering to another creature(cold drake).. but this one is inspired from reptile fish bird and a crustacean.
cheers. thanks again.

i couldnt afford polymer clay back then.
i had to do it section by section- work on a section then let it dry then work on another section.

O_o wow that must have taken alot of patience, although you have tempted me to go out and buy some clay and try and make something out of it

Incredible design. Loads of personality and interesting details and features. I love it, if you couldn't tell by the first two sentences. This is the sort of thing that gets me excited about creature design again.

This would have been a much cooler creature in the movie "The Cave". I forget if that is the original British movie or the remake, but they were both pretty cool.

Ok I looked it up for you I was wrong, I was told when I saw the movie that it was the original, but it seems "The Descent" [link] and "The Cave" were both filmed and released at the same time. And it seems there was a third one "The Cavern" [link] ) ...but it sounds really lame.
I love these kinds of movies.

You know, it's kind of hard to comment and not be redundant when everything in a gallery is awesome like this.
