Description Leviathan's design was inspired from the description in Job 41, which suggests that the creature is most likely to be a crocodile (a gigantic one that snorts out fire), but Leviathan also means whale in modern hebrew. So i came up with a cross breed of a crocodile and a whale.

I think it legs need to be a bit bigger so it can hold up the rest of it's body for either land or water.

amazing. the creature of times past, unequal size and power. defined here as beautiful and majestic without needing words to back him up. ive often drempt of this mighty ruler of the sea, but never have seen an interpretation of it this detailed

it is a most amazing design and it does fit many of the pieced descriptions of the beast mentioned throughout the bible.

Thank you for showing this from start to finish. I really enjoy your work. I want to get into doing more with polymer clay but I'm afraid to waste what I have. hehe
Keep it up!

your welcome, and thanks.

same with me, when i started sculpting with polymer clay. we just have to try and try. i think wasting the clay is also a part of the process. but i learned to bulk up the structure.

That is the most brilliant interpretation of Leviathan I have ever seen! I have spent quite a bit of time daydreaming about the creature, and only God knows how many times I've read Job 41...

On top of that, your craftsmanship is beautiful!~
Truly, this is a work of art!

thanks. Job 41 has been haunting me for years. Leviathan appeared in the modern bible a couple of times, but in Job 41, it is use to symbolize God's might, being compared to a creature of incredible size and strength, which is also contrary to some verses in the bible, where Leviathan symbolizes the enemies of Israel.

i do think Leviathan is a similar creature to a mosasaur or kronosaurus, or a lepleurodon.

I think the same. Though, the Lord speaks of it in a singular form... idk
