Description
A rough 90-frame walk cycle I keyframed in about an hour's time, while watching one of Sci-Fi's airings of Primeval. Needs refinement, I know.If you're having trouble with the Flash player, it's also viewable on YouTube .
The Poser model and walk cycle are available for download at my website .

Yes, and becoming more complicated with each release.
Poser 8 was released last month. I now have to master some new rigging features and the subtleties of indirect lighting.

His name is Zilla, stated by Toho themselves.....:\Godzilla nerdfan rant:
Anyways very nice, one thing that slightly bothers me is that Zilla's head isn't swaying like it would if it was a real creature.

For just an hour's time, this is some pretty fantastic keyframing. I see a few tweaks that could be looked at if you work on it some more- there's a jerk/pop at the end of the loop right before it starts over, making the loop less smooth. And the feet also float a little bit after hitting the ground. Easy fixes in the graph editor (I think that's what it's called; It's been years since I've touched a 3D program). Overall this is a really strong walk cycle!

Thank you.
I shouldn't really accept full credit for that, though. I used the motions of Jurassic Park's raptors as a visual reference.

Every artist needs visual reference, especially animators.

Yeah, I know. They studied the motion of living animals, themselves, in the process of making the film.
But it still feels like cheating, in a way, since my work is essentially derived from theirs.

I see your point. But it's still part of the learning process. If you feel guilty about it, just put a note in the desc that you referenced another work.

I believe Scott modeled her in MAXON's Cinema 4D. He'd mentioned rendering her in that app, at least.

Well made. You should add more mass to his steps.
Also I'm adding you to my devwatch.
