Description
A rough 90-frame walk cycle I keyframed in about an hour's time, while watching one of Sci-Fi's airings of Primeval. Needs refinement, I know.If you're having trouble with the Flash player, it's also viewable on YouTube .

I personally prefer Zilla to the real Godzilla. Particularly Zilla Junior from the animated series. I personally don't care for the Godzilla prior to the millennium series, but Zilla junior is my favorite Godzilla incarnation.
Part of this is due to how the 1998 movie is the first Godzilla movie I ever watched. It's always going to be the one I enjoy the most and not because I'm biased toward it, but I enjoy its plot and its version of Godzilla over anything before or after it. Only Godzilla media that tops it for me is the animated TV series sequel.
I agree with what TheMightySaurus said: "I see nothing wrong with zilla. He looks cool, had a successful animated TV series, and in my opinion is a separate creature in the Godzilla universe." Personally, Zilla is a better Godzilla than the Japanese Godzilla for me because of the cartoon series.
Point is, the 1998 Godzilla was never intended to be the real Japanese Godzilla. He is the first American version of Godzilla, but the script was written to show the characters confusing him for the Japanese Godzilla due to the similarities between them.

I know this is old but I rather like it. I'm slightly amused at the whole name war going on. Effectively it's the same creature that has been updated as the years go on and when it comes to believable monsters, this particular creature looks far more organic than it's sumo wrestler styled Japanese version, in my opinion.

it seems like i am the only person that prefers this model to the rubber suit...not that the rubber suit is bad...i just love how dragon-esque this one looks ;A;

If anything, the G98 move made one thing clear.

the rubber suit just isn't practical. i mean sure, back in the day it was a big deal and it was as good as it could possibly get..but...it's not as good as it gets anymore. and really if you saw a giant reptilian monster coming at you, would you be more terrified of silly, slow and clumsy suit movements or predatory, animal-like movements of a living dinosaur?
