One day, a dog took a nap in a hay field. It was such a warm sunny day and the hay was so soft the dog didn't want to leave. Soon, a cow came along, wanting to graze.

"Go away, Cow!" snarled the dog. "This hay field is mine now!"

"But you don't even eat hay!" the cow said. "Not letting me have any is incredibly selfish!"

"I don't care!" barked the dog. "This hay is mine! Go away!"

A sheep came by with a load of grass on its back. "Come on, Cow." said the sheep. "You can have some grass with me."

The cow went off with the sheep, leaving the dog all alone.

Moral: Selfish people have no friends.
