Sorry for the poor wording...Someone asked me some tips on drawing eyes, which I was glad to oblige because it's seriously my favorite thing to draw. It just gives so much emotion. Note that Pinkamena and Pinkie have the same smile there (re: the lips) but put in those eyes and they totally have a different feel to them.
I'm just sad that I can't explain the process well enough. I'd stream a step by step but my comp can't handle that. I mostly place the eyes out of instinct now and it's still full of trial and error. You'll notice that I had to move pinkamena's eye just a smidge to make her look at us. It's full of small adjustments like that.

The lids seem to be open a bit much, and the pupil and highlights are a tad small, unless of course you were going for a surprised look. If so, then it's good
