The long-awaited Sailor Merkkur of the Eclipse Senshi.

Senshi Name: Sailor Merkkur セーラーマッカー
Civilian Name: Camellia Flowers
Hobbies: Shopping, flirting, (secretly) studying
Gem: Sapphire Heart
Element: Compassion
Style: long and short range staff fighting
Weapon: Segmented spear. Can be used as both a spear and a segmented staff. She can segment and reconnect the spear at will, as well as change the shape, like here, it's in the shape of a heart.

Merkkur's redesign was an interesting one. Her appearance hasn't changed too much. I gave her a more accents, like the X's (like X's and O's, get it? ha!), new shoes (yes, those are high top sneakers), the tiered back bow (yeah, stole that from my flower senshi), and two-tone hair (which is a reoccuring theme between the original and new designs) that's uneven in the front. I rather like uneven hair. Goes with my obsession with assymetry.

There is one more thing.

Merkkur is a boy.

Yeup. Even in this form.

Merkkur was born a boy but never felt like one (after all, his past self was a woman). When he moved to Generik, he began crossdressing and calling himself Camellia (his real name is Cameron). Everyone refers to him as she, too. It's his greatest secret.

I ran across some notes recently from the 2003 Eclipse remake and while I didn't include Merkkur or Jupitercouri or Neptunusia (the last one I don't get), I had scribbled in the margins: "Cross dressing Senshi." In fact, I had several references to a cross dressing character but never fleshed it out. Takeuchi has several cross dressers, mostly male, so I want one too. He's very pretty, isn't he?
