Wow, the plethora of shapes and different degrees of shine throughout this glass-like "mineral" structure is so fascinating. It reminds me of the wrinkles of aluminum foil, though the darker parts look more liquidy while the brighter parts look more reflective like, well... foil. What really draws the eye in is the light in the center. If that turns out the be just the camera flash, then this is the best result of a camera flash I've ever seen. I don't have any constructive criticism since this is outside my area of experience, but thanks for sharing.

Good guess it is foil and the light in the center is the flash but just think how this painting would look with a dedicated light source on the full picture?Β  Sure you wouldnt have the focus point in the center but the darker veins would give more meaning to the pic with a ribbon of shine across the center. But if you really wanted the light on the center you could get a light source that could be aim there. Anyways Glad you enjoyed it, Makes my Day an Thanks for replying

So this is made with wax!? Goodness, how did you doΒ that!? I thought it was stained glass at first!
Although I think the colour distribution could've been a bit better (there's some spots without colour)... or is that intentional?

It is intentional to a point but because of the way i do my art its a blind guess on how much will be left without color and how much will be veined. Best i can hope for is an even balance, if it isnt i have to reheat and try all over again risking color saturation and glass breaking each time. Plus what your not seeing is the places where the color is thin an thick with the silver background shining through giving the painting a gem effect.

This is really cool. The color is awesome, and that shimmer/shine is super neat. It's like Ice, and stained glass put together.Β  Β
