What a wild ride. The final newcomers for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, plus our first look at one of the DLC fighters. I wonder if the DLC cast will have to be rescued in World of Light or if they'll be helping Kirby out in the beginning of the mode?

Well that's too bad, because word on the grapevine is that Piranha Plant invited a Generic Fire Emblem Unit to join the battle. (one who uses a Sword, of course!)
If we are getting one, I expect it to be someone from the upcoming Three Houses. I hear people hoping it'll be Edelgard , but it could also be this Byleth guy.

No, because that post was made back when we only knew Piranha Plant was joining and we had no idea that Joker was one of the 5 DLC characters that was gonna join the battle.
That "Generic Fire Emblem Unit" comment was referring to... well, any of these generic ally/enemy classes that can wield swords from the various Fire Emblem games . Because if a generic enemy like Piranha Plant can join, why not one of them, like Thief, Hero or Assassin? 
Also, not to be rude, but you could've been bit nicer about this. I may not have played the games, but I am aware that Joker's from Persona, a series which itself is a spin-off of Shin Megami Tensei.

Um... Iβm sorry, but thereβs only 7 Fire Emblem Swordsmen, so yeah, basically...We could have said that thereβs too many swordsmen. (Link, Toon Link, Shulk etc.)

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I'm simply joking that one of the four currently unknown DLC Fighters will be a Generic Fire Emblem Enemy/Ally Unit who wields a sword - (General , Myrmidon , Swordmaster , etc... - instead of an actual character like, for example, the recently revealed Byleth or Edelgard from Fire Emblem Three Houses. (I guess I didn't make that clear in my last post? Sorry)
I actually don't mind Sword wielders tbh, though I can understand the frustration other people have about them.

From what I looked up, it seems Three Houses was announced first, but it was unnamed at the time.

But besides that, I was using Fire Emblem Three Houses as an example, so I don't think it should've matter too much? Maybe I should've used a character from Shadows of Valentia, or Fates instead...
But anyway, long story short: I was not calling Joker a "Generic Fire Emblem Character" I was joking that a generic Fire Emblem Enemy/Ally Class Unit who wields a Sword (like Hero, Thief or Assassin) would join the battle as one of the 5 DLC characters instead of an actual character like Anna, Eliwood, or Myst since earlier we were shown that a generic enemy from Super Mario, Piranha Plant, was gonna join the fight.

I said I was joking about a generic enemy from Fire Emblem joining the fight, not "there will be a new Fire Emblem character joining the game". It'd be no different if I said "Well that's too bad, because word on the grapevine is that Piranha Plant invited a Kremling/Deku Baba/Zebesian/Scarfy/New Age Retro Hippy/Eggplant Wizard/Pirate Goom/some Pikmin enemy/Moto Bug/Met/Flying Medusa Head/Generic Enemy from Persona to join the battle. Regardless, if Nintendo did choose someone from Fire Emblem Three Houses for the DLC to advertise it, I wouldn't be surprised. We have had that happen before in the past. (Roy in Melee, Greninja and Corrin for 4... heck, Ness was almost replaced by Lucas back in Melee before EarthBound 64 was cancelled) Not saying it WILL happen, but I'm not ruling it out either. We have to wait and see.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you when it comes to the "2 MaYnEe FiR eMbUlLs" complaint. It gets kind of annoying, though at times, I can understand their complaints. (all 7 are sword users - in addition to Robin using Magic and Corrin using their Dragon Power - three of them are essentially Marth...) As it is, I don't mind any of it too much, really.
