Description
Scientific name: Carassius auratus
This is a breed of single tailed goldfish of Japanese origin, they trace their origin to Yoshigoro Akiyama who experimented with crossbreeding the Calico telescope eye with the common goldfish and the comet goldfish. These fish live on average up to 15 years and can reach up to 46 cm in length, they reach adulthood around 2 years of age.
