Lik the tones and lighting effects here. Bold background promotes the subject well, leaving a rather statue like appearance, sort of retro even, it's hard to explain. I think the highlight of this picture, is umm, the highlights, lol. The textured appearance you get is rather extrordinary, nothing I've seen has resembled this sort of photo. You've experimented with some nice effects and succeeded. Well done.

Seeing "on camera" sepia is really rare on dA becuase it is a hard thing to get right, so Im glad to see that that is what you used, and not photoshop. This photo reminds me of looking through my grandfather's photo albums and seeing all of his pictures. You could tell that they were printed in a cheap fashion, so now all of them were turning yellow from time. The composition of the picture is rather good. Great use of natural lighting here. Overall it is a fantastic job.

I really love the lighting on her hair and the overall "soft" feel of this photo. I also think the sepia adds to the style quite a bit. One thing I'm not sure on is the brightness in a general sense, though. Was a flash used here, or was the sun just this bright? For future shots, you might choose a more moderate set of lighting for portraits--not too dark/not too light, in other words. It somewhat depends on the photograph, too, of course. Overall, a nice job. You've got some lovely photos in your gallery (like "Sticking Around"), and you've got a good eye for things. Keep it up!
