This is 's request. She was the first to correctly guess the breed of horse in my last deviation [link](It was a clydesdale, or at leat my attempt at one
)She requested that I draw a black horse, with black wings, against a starry night background.
The colouring is rather sloppy because I got lazy and it was 40 degrees today! (Yes, I am going to use that as an excuse for my bad colouring, just humour me please!
)Whoa really bad proportions on this horse. I didn't fully realise until I started colouring D:

Aw this is brilliant! I love shading black, and you did an amazing job, highlights look so natural.
Do you remember a while ago you were saying you were miffed your drawings didn't have much variation with poses? well I think you've really outdone yourself recently! They are getting so varied and challenging, and you're improving so much all the time ! :3

Thank you so much! I'm trying to look for new poses and expression and try them out. Coluring Black is hard, but it was easier this time around, probably because I also used grey in my colouring

Thank you! I was worried about having a dark background against the dark horse, but I think it worked out alright. I'm slowly beginning to enjoying colouring wings, even though they take ages

Was the starry night background based after the actual painting (Starry Night) by van Gough? Kinda looks like it

Wow, this is truly beautiful! I actually even didn't notice there was nothing wrong with proportions until I read you artist's comment! I was so dazzled about that coloring! I love the way you have shaded that black and blue aura around the horse brings it beautifully out.

I was very lazy. I was meaning to add clouds in the background, but kind of went "Oh screw it, it's too hot to focus--I'll just add some dark and light parts"
