Yup, but realistically speaking, it’s far more common to have them be females or even Trans

I’ve never heard of a mosaic cat!
ive heard of them for like, Axolotls, so that’s something I’ll have to read up on later!
i think Chimeras are hard to identify? I’ve heard that they can have 2 different blood types and have both reproductive organs, but I’m not sure how a bunch of wild cats would find that out lol
and I think males would be xxy, which would cause health problems! (Not for sure on this tho)

Messybeast has a good page on this. An easy way to identify a chimera is if it has impossible colors, like gray and red or gray and black! Mosiacs (if im correct) are when a kitten in the womb bumps into another and swaps a cell. So if a ginger cat bumped into a black tom, that black tom could have ginger and be, by definition, a tortie.

That’s super interesting!
Ill definitely read up on that, but I bet the Mosaic is rare, and not able to reproduce as a Mosaic?
Like, there’s no Mosaic Gene, it happens by chance?

Speaking from a realistic standpoint, unless you have 3000 female torties, all your torties will be male.
and that’s just by chance,
you can go 6000 torties before you finally get a male Tortie.
just like you can have 1000 torties before you get. Male.
its more realistic to say that all torties are female, as the chance of a Tortie being a female is drastically higher than having a male.
