This took about 3 hours from start to finishGodzilla in the rain, looking evil and cunning at the same time..
I dont know who Godzilla is (C) to but it aint me!!

I'm sorry I lashed out like that. I've just been feeling so angry about the whole thing. The movie and animated series entertained me a lot as a kid, and were a HUGE inspiration for my drawings and such like. Every time I hear someone dismiss it as "fake" or "American pretender" or "not worthy of the name GODzilla", I just want to... well, I won't go into details. It was meant to be a new incarnation in a different continuity, and personally, I really wish Toho had never added it to theirs and changed the name. The "God" part was originally coincidence in the first place (in the 1954 original's "Americanisation"), and I think people make way too big a deal out of it.
And of course, all the religious worship excitement about this year's new incarnation brought all this crap crashing down on me all over again. I'm fine with people enjoying a new version; I'm NOT fine with them doing it deliberately at the expense of the one I remember enjoying. It just really ruins the whole Godzilla thing for me.
I just... wish people would be more considerate. There were and still are people who liked the earlier American version - and also still like to call it Godzilla. Again, sorry for snapping at you like that.

It's okay man, and I understand. I have watched the 1998 movie many times, and I still enjoy it. And it is interesting to see such a unique incarnation of Godzilla as he is. I should do more art of him, but you might like these:
