Description I decided to take tonight for some personal art :3
'Tis the night before the week before Thanksgiving break and it's going to be CRAZY. I should have done homework instead of this tonight... but more and more I've been living by the TREAT YO-SELF motto. Which is not good for schoolwork productivity. Or my bank account...

I listened to A Silent Film's new music while drawing this... I think it inspired the mood a lot. Their music makes me happy

I have been learning lots of tree species in one of my classes this semester... I was mainly thinking about maple, elm, and willow when I drew the leaf pattern.

I used lots of stock images! Here we go.

This is beautiful! I love the purple glow you added. And the leaf pattern is so smooth!
and ahhhh I love A Silent Film! I haven't listened to their new album yet, but I love their first two, and they're great live!

Stunning - I love how much purple you used, especially with the reflected light on her fur (it suits her well!). I also love the textures and leaf patterns in the background. It's so cool that you incorporated your classes into this.

I feel you though - I've definitely taken a lot of time to relax and draw/write/read rather than study. :V I feel like doing this ultimately helps in the long run though!

Exactly, personal health always comes before grades. It's tricky in practice, but absolutely worth the effort. How's everything been recently?

It's been alright. I had a good break from school but I'm ready to get back into it now. All my classes this semester specifically pertain to my majors so that's pretty great
