'Tis that scene from The Darkest Hour when Scourge thought he killed Firestar but he came back to life, blah blah... I haven't actually read Warriors in forever xD
That background was obnoxious but I'm proud 'cause all of it is hand-painted - no pre-made brushes!

There is definitely a lot of improvement here, and the background looks great. I can't get over those clouds. XD Also love the fog you added around Firestar. Nice touch.

I think the background is much better. However, I think your cats from 2007 looked better in that picture...

Well, for me, Firestar and Scourge were more realistic and feral looking, like they actually could kill each other. In this one, they almost look more...cartoony? It's still great, mind you, but the old one was more sinister and foreboding.

I can agree with you on that except for the realism thing... the cats from 2007 have so many anatomical errors it makes me cringe (giant heads, unnecessary tufts of hair on their heads, misplaced eyes, seemingly an extra bone in the back legs, long necks, short bodies, squished hindquarters, misplaced ears, etc...) but their expressions are clearer in the 2007 ones, yes.

Yeah I've had a few people say that. I guess they just have more personality in the 2009 one.
But Firestar looks like a wolf and the moon looks weird in that version and it makes me hate the whole piece xD

Well, they're both great! I think I'll always like the 2009 one because it was the one I saw first, but the newwest one is still really awesome ^^ And don't worry, I can't even draw cats. At all.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the anatomy. I think just the expressions made it better. I guess not really realism, per say, but more... believable..ness (now a word, moohaha).
