She's finally here with her own ref ;w; my original fursona <3
So...Jade's been through a lot of redesigns and changes recently, so I wanted to settle something quickly so it can hopefully cover some things?
Jade was the fursona I had when I first started out on deviantART, so she's really precious to me...she was initially created to be my age and a representation of me (like how Mae is now), but during a roleplay, I decided I'd give her more story by giving her a husband and pups (which ended up as Talon, Ralph, Ivy and Scythe, each one still meaning lots to me, since they really got me into the furry fandom itself)...
However I lost connection with Jade as I kept up her 'family life', since I had to make her older (around 30-40) to fit with her mother lifestyle and her near-teenage pups? She didn't feel as relatable anymore, hence why I moved onto Mae and kept Jade as an OC...
After some consideration (and desire to bring her back), I've decided to split Jade up into 2 'universes': one for her young adult self (which I originally had in mind), and one for her grown-up self? That way I can keep my connection with a young Jade and express myself more through her lifestyle as an adolescent, and still keep around the storyline of her, Talon and their kids, so I don't have to scrap any characters that I fell so deeply in love with <3

On that note, this is the original Jade, I'll deffo try drawing her with her family in the other storyline too at somepoint, but for now, I really wanted her ref finished so I can pay more attention to her <3
