Description
Day after day you and Ludwig grew even closer to eachother. You hugged him whenever you could and every kiss he gave you was sweet as honey. You slept in the same bed, he let you sit on his lap, you fell asleep while watching TV and snuggling him, it was almost like everything has changed. But you didn't mind at all, you were madly in love with him and your life seemed all perfect. You were together almost all the time, though he was very busy at times. He still wanted to stay close to you so he asked you if you could help him and you said yes without hesitating so he pretty much made you his secretary. You did everything he asked for usually with a smile on your face and you helped him wherever you could. He told you he was proud of you and he's very thankful for your help. You could never get a better compliment than that, knowing that he feels like that made you the happiest.
After another long day of work Ludwig pushed the papers on his desk aside and leaned back on his chair and let out a loud sigh. You could see that he was really tired and slightly annoyed too. He was so sick of working but he had no choice. Trying to calm him down you walked behind him and massaged his shoulders. He groaned and closed his eyes, relaxing under your hands.
"It's already time to rest some, forget about those things for a while."
"I will try. But there's still so much to do and I'm afraid I'll ran out of time. And soon the world meeting is coming too.
"World meeting?"
"Yeah... It's a conference where all the countries come together and have all day long conversations about certain things. I hate going there."
"I see." You smiled and kissed his cheek. "But this time I'll be with you too and just think of how good it will be when it's over."
"I know, you're so much help for me, thank you very much." He reached for your hand on his shoulder and held it tightly.
"You're very welcome. So when exactly is the meeting?"
"The day after tomorrow. We have to get prepared."
"Alright."
You were actually pretty excited about the meeting, you have never been at one before. You wondered about how the other countries were. Soon the day has come too and you two got up early to leave to the meeting. You got into the car with lots of documents and left as soon as you could. It was a few hours long ride and you couldn't wait for finally arriving.
You quickly got out of the car and closed the door. Ludwig got out too holding his suitcase and you two entered the huge building. You kept looking around all the time, it was new for you. And you passed by so many coutries you didn't know, some of them greeted you, some of them just looked at you and some of them totally ignored you. You didn't like strangers so you stayed as close to Ludwig as you could. Soon you met Feli and Kiku too and you greeted eachother warmly, Italy hugged you too and you hugged him back. It's been a while since you last saw them.
You went to the conference room and sat down. You still had some time to get prepared, you asked Ludwig if he needs anything but he said he was good. About 15 minutes later the conference started. You weren't very amused there, you found it pretty boring. You watched the other countries since you had nothing better to do. But then you had an unpleasant surprise.
Your breathing stopped for a second and you gulped. How could you forget... Why didn't you think that he wouldn't be there? And he was staring at you too... The man with white hair and violet eyes didn't take his eyes off you. It was him, Russia. The person/country you feared the most. Of course you were terrified just because of his presence too. You remembered the things he did to you... You still had scars that he left on you. You shivered and looked down but you tried to look calm, you didn't want to distract Ludwig.
In the next minute he grabbed your hand and held it.
"Are you alright?"
You looked up at him and forced a smile on your face.
"Oh yes, yes I am, don't worry."
"You looked stressed for a minute."
"I'm sorry. It must be that everything is new here for me."
He sighed and let go of your hand.
"If you say so, Liebe."
But you couldn't help being nervous for the rest of the day anyway. Soon you had lunch break and you were happy about finally being able to get up and stretch. Some of the countries left too, some stayed there. You left the room with Ludwig to get a coffe.
"So how do you like it here?" He asked.
"Can't we just go home?" You answered looking down.
"I'm afraid we can't, we have a long day ahead us."
"Yeah I know. I hope time passes quickly though."
"I hope so too."
Then you said quiet for a while until he noticed someone and turned to you.
"I have something to do now, I'll be quick. Can you get me the rest of the documents for me meanwhile, I left them in the car."
"Oh, of course."
"Thank you." He gave you the keys and left.
You sighed and walked to the car too. You really hoped that Ivan won't be around or that he doesn't recognise you at all. You walked fast, you didn't even look around much. You quickly got the papers, held them to your chest and locked the door. You were about to go back when you heard a familiar voice behind you.
"Well-well it's been a while."
You froze in that moment. You didn't want to believe it. Your body didn't move and you held the documents tightly against yourself. It can't be... That voice... You slowly turned around in hope you were wrong about the owner of the voice. But you weren't.
There was Russia, right behind you with an evil smirk on his face. Your eyes were wide open and you shivered. You really hoped it was just some nightmare.
"Long time no see." He said and reached for you.
You didn't have time to think, you started running as fast as you could. You wanted to get back into the building, back to Ludwig!
Ivan let you run before him and chuckled devilishly then ran after you. You ran like crazy, the last thing you wanted was him catching you.
You thought you were almost safe but that was not what he wanted. He suddenly grabbed your arm, pulled you back and tackled you. You screamed loudly and accidentally dropped everything. You struggled with all your power.
"You know it's no use." He said coldly and gripped your arm as he was grinning whlie he looked down at you.
But you would have been stupid to give up, you tried to free yourself and you struggled desparately. The fear made you stronger and somehow you could at least kick him at the right place to make him groan and probably swear, you didn't understand it. You rather just kicked him off you while he was a little distracted, got up and continued running. You were happy that Ludwig trained you, else who knows what Russia could have done to you for now. You ran towards the building without looking around and suddenly you bumped into someone.
The person quickly grabbed your arms and held you close but you still tried to get away from him.
"__________!" You heard Ludwig shout at you and he shook you. "It's me! What's wrong, what happened?!"
You looked up at him and you were trembling. You started sobbing and your legs were weak so you fell. He held you to his chest, supported you and soon he lifted your chin up to make you look at him.
"What is it, Liebe?" He asked with a concerned voice. Of course he worried a lot about you.
"R-Ru-Ru... ssia... Rus..." You couldn't talk properly, you were still so scared.
"Russia? That bastard again? What did he do to you?"
"Ran... Chased... m-me..." You were breathing heavily and your tears couldn't stop.
"So that's why I heard you scream." He held you tightly. "Don't worry, I'm here to protect you." He patted your head too. "You are safe."
You pulled his clothes and buried your face into his chest. You still were horribly scared. He slowly lifted you up and helped you stand.
"What the hell do you want from her?" He growled.
Ivan was already standing in front of you but you didn't want to look at him, you kept holding Ludwig.
"I just want back what's mine." He replied calmly. "She escaped from me a while ago, I didn't think I would find her again."
"I have bad news for you but she's under my protection and I'm not going to let you touch her."
"Oh, is that so?"
"Don't ever try to go near her again, else you are really going regret that."
Russia chuckled again.
"Fine, alright, she's not that important anyway. She's just a little weakling." He then turned around and walked away.
Ludwig sighed and slowly and gently pushed you a bit farther from him and looked down at you.
"Don't worry, everything's alright. I told you I will protect you."
You nodded and sighed.
"Th-thank you..."
He kissed your forehead and you closed your eyes and tried to calm down. He didn't take you back to the conference until you were alright so you were a little late but who cared.
The rest of the conference was peaceful, nobody pestered you again. You were still the happiest when you finally got home and fell on your bed. You felt the safest there, with Ludwig wrapping his arms around you.
