It seem to be lots of fun!
Well you're back from doing manips after a long time, yesh? Of course it takes a bit of time to get started again then!

Beautifully done! Love the colours in the horse and that mane and tail are epic He seems to have an almost glowy feel against the background and oddly, I can't see much of a shadow, so the quote seems to fit really nicely It just adds to the isolated feel ^^

Never knew you did these - I'd have no idea how to even start one! It looks awesome

How do you do your manes? That is one thing I always have trouble with in manips^^

I'm not much of an expert (by ANY means of the word xD) and there are probably waaaaay better ways to do it, but hopefully this'll help x.x Anyway, what I do is pick the darkest colour for the mane and tail and lay it down in the general shape that I want it, using a relatively large but sort brush. After that, I changed my brush to 3 px (I think... maybe it was two... they should both work haha) and chose a colour that was somewhat lighter. On about 40% opacity, I started drawing in all the strands to bulk out the mane, which sort of layered itself because of the low opacity. I pretty much continued doing that, going lighter and lighter, until I had the mane as thick and substantial as I wanted it, and until it was the colour I wanted it. After that, I went back and chose another dark colour and added a few more dark strands to sort of even it all out (not many, but it counts! lol). Then I took the burn tool on a REALLY low opacity (I think it was at 8 or something) and 'globbed' on bit of shadow (meaning all I really did was dab at the part of the mane behind the neck, and the top and bottom of the tail). After wards, I took the dodge tool, also at a low opacity and at about 3px, and picked out a few strands in the mane and tail.

I hope that made sense! And I hope you find it at all helpful!
