A powerful and ancient alien race who call themselves "T'in T'aa," the Masters are a force to be reckoned with.

This drawing has an interesting history. It was based on some mini-graffiti on a pillar in the art history room that seemed to show a creature with bulbous eyes and 6 tentacles ending in spade-shaped hands. To me it immediately suggested a hyperintelligent cephalopod. I quickly copied it in my notebook, then drew the detailed drawing in my sketchbook for a series of alien trading cards in my intermedia course. I didn't finish it until I was in a drawing course the following year with David Dunlap. My friend Garrett Kubik pointed out to me that part of it resembles a female torso (he called the drawing my "boobie squid"), and I now think the drawing on the pillar that I copied may have been a naughty drawing that someone later embellished.
