Description
Tried to make some realistic looking asteroids and a good planet in C4D, I think it was a success.So this is the Tree of Life in my point of view, a huge starfield
.Planet: 4 hrs to make texture / 2 hrs to render
Asteroids: 2 hrs to create and place / 15 min to render
Composition and postwork: 5 hrs
Original resolution: 3000x2400 px
Music: Wintersun - Wintersun

It's an annual competition my school started doing last year. It's really quite alot of fun, and the final round in Houston is heaven for a space dork.

You have to write up a complete plan for a scenario that they give you, like a mining station for 10,000 people in the asteroid belt. You have to have pictures of alot of the stuff with it, though. ^^

You're allowed to bring whatever equipment you like, and the artists are usually allowed to just sit and do their thing quietly for as long as they like ^ ^;; The hardest part was trying to stay awake, to be honest... But then again, I'm not an artist, so I wouldn't know xP
