Commission I did for a friend.

These are some characters from a story of his,

Matt is the archer, he's a werewolf who can't transform into his beastly form, and is classified as a "Mutt",
he's shunned by his own kind and eventually meets the black dragon known as Kal, Kal is titled "Kal the Destroyer", all black dragon's get the title "destroyer" since birth, as they have the unlucky probability of transforming into world destroyers.

On one lucky or unlucky day (which ever way you see it), Matt while delivering some packages, finds amongst the items a gauntlet, without thinking, Matt put's the gauntlet on his arm, rather than carry it, and later he finds out that he can't remove it, the strange gauntlet of unknown origin bonded with him, and when he's in danger, it can create magical constructs of light which are specific to the wielders own strengths and skill, the unlucky side of the story is because Matt is a "Mutt", or simply put, a Werewolf with no abilities, he's pretty much a normal human, only slightly stronger, his first thought when faced with danger was "man I wish I had some kind of ranged weapon", thus it created a bow, and that's now his preferred construct.

The duo find themselves fighting side by side, they stand their ground,
holding the darkness at bay.
