Description A collab. This time I drew him and she inked and colored. And here is why I would never let her touch my comic when she first met me and asked if she could be my inker.  Had it been a job interview she would have been rejected on the spot and she was as I am looking for a quality partner. Lines are way too thick and nasty.  I was going to say she is a better colorist than inker but this particular drawing and many others I have seen are just not good either. The colors are flat with no shading. She ruined my line work.  It's not even nice change in line thickness like GTA art.  The fire looks terrible being the same red as his skin. No glow, they eyes are the same color in fact this whole thing is just monochromatic and looks bad.  She's seen me drawn fire before. It's not that hard to make it glow and look like it's hot and well FIRE.  I'll be drawing this scene all by myself at a later date and do it right. As many great super villains say, "If you want something done right you have to do it yourself."  Harsh critique welcome.

This is epic. The burning rage and hate in his eyes... the intensity of his flames (extending to his arms and hands this time too, whoa)... I think this is, by far, the angriest this guy's been. Truly frightening...

But at least Fear isn't afraid of him anymore. Although I have a feeling it's going to take a bit for Anger to completely learn his lesson. Well, Fear is a patient "teacher", muhahaha.

Before Fear found his powers Anger was the one that controlled him and everyone else through fear.  Anger is definitely a scary emotion.  But once you learn to deal with it you can defeat it and control it.  And as you point out Fear isn't afraid of him anymore so this will not go well for sure. Anger has not learned his lesson yet.

Yes- Fear is the most powerful emotion, despite Anger himself being quite formidable. And not being afraid of him anymore, I think, makes nearly all the difference in the world. His power over Fear is totally broken. Mind you, I realize Anger can still definitely hurt him PHYSICALLY, especially with his fire. I think Anger will keep trying to test the waters, so to speak, because he's all brawn and no brain. He's a stubborn fool. Well, I'll enjoy seeing him repeatedly getting terrorized by Fear, so more power to the stupid firebrick. I imagine Fear would be all "Tsk, you never learn, do you?" On the other hand, it would be SO satisfying to finally have Anger's spirit crushed, and him properly fearing and respecting his better; I'm talking, a sniveling, grovelling MESS, scared to even look his way.

Anger's second most powerful for sure. It takes discipline to master Anger and something Charlie needs to majorly work on.  His Anger is out of control.  That's the key. He's no longer afraid so he has no power over him anymore. It's all blown away and it's an amazing feeling.  But yes that's true. When it comes to brute force Fear knows to not get close or let Anger grab him.   Anger hasn't learned yet.  He'll be getting more of what's coming to him for sure though.  Hum we shall see what happens to Anger in the end.

I know I already said a bunch of stuff about this picture already, but man is it ever cool! I really love the addition of elemental powers to characters, so the whole fire channeling thing is just too cool, especially how it's trailed from his head to his hands. The next punch he throws is gonna have some real power behind it!
The expression was really awesome too. I sometimes find it hard to twist a face into a pure look of fury. If pushed too far, the face looks ridiculous. If not pushed far enough, it just looks bored. This face is like perfectly riding that edge where it looks like blind rage without crossing into silly-looking territory.
And it's always so fun to ink someones art, especially when it's of a character I draw as well. It really allows me to get a feel for how the same character can be drawn in a completely different style, yet still be instantly recognized for who it is.

You bring up an excellent point about the necessity of finding that exact balance to pull off such an expression where you really take him seriously. I imagine it's not easy to accomplish, but he looks truly frightening here!

You did a remarkable job with the colors and textures! Those flames look so vibrant and vivid, you can almost feel the intensity of the heat... including the rage and hate in his eyes (yes, both are extremely evident; again, I imagine that is not easy to pull off). I really hope you guys work together on more stuff, because your styles really compliment each-other! Be proud!

Ha, well we're having fun talking about it all over the place and so far everything has not yet been said it seems.  I like it a lot too.  In my mind he can do way more stuff with his fire than just set his head off.  Also I consider myself a fire type so I have fun going nuts with him.  We have yet to see what he can really do with his powers.
For me anger and fear are the expression I found to be quite good at and enjoy the most. No surprise that I liked these two emotions the best as well.  But I enjoy working with expression.
I'm glad you like inking. You're the first person I have met that does.  I always strive to make characters look like whatever show they come from.  I'm very happy I can mimic styles so well so that helps things be recognizable.

Yes. That's how he awoke Fear's powers in the first page of the comic.  Nasty flaming punches.

Looks like Anger only wants to keep scaring Fear over and over again (just like in the movie). But what can be stronger... Or fire, or thunders...

Yeah he's not happy about Fear standing up for himself. Ah, both can hurt each other pretty badly actually since they are not opposites.

Ha, I'm glad you're the first comment since he's your fave.  I love his eyes.  So full of fury.  He'd best be careful going after Fear but well Anger doesn't think he only reacts.
Yes she did very well on those textures.
