On the other hand, I don't blame Flame for being so mortified; he put all that effort into shaping that ice, and by the time he got Val, room temperature had already worked its own magic...

and yet... he somehow managed something that Val appreciated anyways, so it's not all that awful...

but if that were me in Flame's Place, I'd be unable to care any less about it, because I'd still be upset.

But yeah, in the end, it's the thought that counts...
