     “Do you want to join our team?”

     Lucky blinked. The months had passed by so quickly. After the weather had gone back to normal, He had gone to Treetop Town and confessed to being an accessory to Team Brambles’ crimes, and was subsequently arrested. Alan and Aster had come to talk to him. Years ago, he would have been ecstastic to recieve an invitation to join Team brambles. Now he simply bowed his head respectfully.

     “We appealed to have your sentence shortened,” said Alan. “You’ll be out tomorrow. We heard from Team Aquablaze that you were controlled by Team Brambles.”

     “Yes, but It’s still my fault for trusting them to begin with,” answered Lucky. “I need to face the consequences.”

     “You have already faced the consequences,” said Aster. “In the end, you made the right decision, and helped to save the region.”

     “You confessed that you joined Team brambles because you looked up to them,” continued Alan. “The only problem is that you joined the wrong Team Brambles. Me and Aster actually have some difficulties being a two mon team sometimes. So we want to offer you a position in our Team. What do you say?”

     Lucky shook his head. “Sorry, but I’ll have to decline. A long time ago, I wanted to join Team Brambles because I knew they were one of the best teams. I joined them because I wanted to be great too. But I realized that no mon ever starts at the top. We have to start at the bottom, and work our way up slowly. I tried to join a high rank team, and look where that got me. So I want to start my own rescue Team. Make a name for myself instead of riding on the popularity of other Teams.”

     Alan smiled. “That sounds like a good idea. Treetop Guild is always looking for new recruits. You are going to need teammates, though. Do you have any in mind?”

Lucky thought of the two mons he knew the best. One was a mon who would want to follow in her father’s footsteps. Another was a mon that he would support and protect no matter what.

     “Yeah, I think I could find a few mons.”

     “How does Team Charm sound?”

     It was a month later, and Lucky was back at Treetop town. He, along with Hope and Grace, were about to undergo the Rescue Team Test.

     “That sounds like a good name,” said Lucky.

     He pulled Hope closer and whispered. “Are you sure you’re up for this? I mean... You might overexert yourself...”

     “No problem!” she replied. “I want to support you! I know we will make a great Team! Besides, We need to set a good example for them!”

     “Don’t worry, Lucky,” said Grace. “I’ll stop her in if she tries too hard. We are definitely going to pass though. I’m going to continue my dad’s legacy. Here’s the plan...”

     Grace continued to discuss tactics with Hope, but Lucky was only half listening. He just noticed another team eying hiim suspiciously. “This must be because of my past,” he thought. He noticed Alan waving him over. He padded over to see what he wanted.

     “I’ll be waiting in grassy maze,” he said. “I know you will do well. Remember. Your past might make other teams wary of you at first, but me and Aster went through that too. You just need to prove your loyalty.”

     Lucky nodded. “With these two by my side, I will never stray from the right path ever again. You better watch out, Alan. We intend to pass this test with flying colors!.”

A little bonus story for PMDTA. Lucky decides he would rather form his own team than join an existing team.
