The renders of various Naruto Uzumakis in the Ultimate Ninja Storm SeriesConsider each one to be Naruto from an alternative timeline or universe.
Young Naruto is merely Naruto from the original series.
The first Shippuden Naruto is his incarnation from the early episodes of Shippuden.
Sage Naruto is Naruto after learning Sage Mode.
The second Shippuden Naruto is the one who just learned control over the Nine-Tails.
Samurai Naruto is Naruto from an alternate universe where he became a samurai.
Goku-Costumed Naruto trained with Goku.
Hokage Naruto comes from Road to Ninja.
Nine-Tails Mode Naruto has access to Kurama Bijuu Mode.
It's ironic, Samurai Naruto and Goku Costume Naruto are the only alternate costumes of Naruto's in Storm 3 that have official artwork, yet neither of them change the artwork of his character icon during a battle. The same goes for all alternate costumes that are only available via DLC or Full Burst, except for Hokage Naruto, which is an on-disc costume but uses Sage Naruto's icon.

So, from what I remember, Goku Naruto is a costume that you get for free by pre-ordering NUNS3, and that you can have as DLC if you didn't pre-order.
And Samurai Naruto is an unlockable costume if I remember right. Or a whole new character model in itself with its own movement palette. I can't remember correctly.
