Description
A bio page for the primary version of Link, the main protagonist of the Legend of Zelda series, in The Crossover Game, my massive crossover idea. This details his Biography, Variations, and Appearances.
For the difference between Forms and Variations, see here: leehatake93.deviantart.com/art…
The movesets in the imaginary game are a cross between Super Smash Bros and PlayStation All-Stars. As in Smash, each character has four special moves and a Final Smash. Mimicking All-Stars, each character has multiple finishing moves, rather than only one. A Super Smash can result in a transformation or inflict a lot of damage, however, it is not guaranteed to result in an instant KO. On the other hand, a Final Smash is guaranteed to instantly KO opponents, providing that it can hit its target.
Due to the limited size of the "Appears In" box, I wasn't able to list Link's entire legacy, so I primarily focused on his most notable appearances in my video game collection, namely being the debut appearances for most of his variations, and the games where he mostly appears as an adult.
Like Lee Hatake, Link is a character that only has variations, but has alternative Super Smashes and Final Smashes depending on his costumes.
Without further ado, I present Link's variations:
VARIATIONS:
Breath of the Wild: Link's newest incarnation that is set to debut in the new game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This form's moveset is entirely based on said game, though, being an open world game in the scale of games like The Elder Scrolls, Link has the potential for multiple movesets from this single game alone. As the game has yet to be released, his moveset isn't known yet.
Classic Link: This version of Link represents the classic Link from the original The Legend of Zelda game, although his alternate costumes also include Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess Links. As such, this variation of Link takes his movesets from the Zelda games that are currently out, except for Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and A Link Between Worlds, which are games represented by Young Link and Toon Link.
Soulcalibur II: This represents Link from Namco's Soulcalibur II. Although most of his attacks are similar to the other Link variations, this one would wield the Soul swords. Additionally, his alternate costume would be Mario Kart Link, which gives him access to the Master Cycle and a moveset based on Mario Kart 8.
Super Smash Bros: This Link, as the name indicates, is taken directly from the Super Smash Bros series. He would have two costumes, Classic and Modern, which represent his movesets from Super Smash Bros (N64)/Super Smash Bros Melee and Super Smash Bros Brawl/Super Smash Bros (3DS/Wii U), respectively.
Linkle: This variation is Linkle from Hyrule Warriors Legends. Her moveset is taken directly from Hyrule Warriors.
Dark Link: This variation represents the Dark Link from Ocarina of Time, however, his moveset is taken from Link's appearance in Hyrule Warriors, hence his design reflecting on that game. Instead of just costume changes, Dark Link can change his weapon, which changes his moveset as well.
