Only in general.Β Lisa is usually shy when off-duty, only a few people get to see the 'real her'.Β But she _does_ have a playful side that a very few people get to see.Β I could imagine her pulling this on a certain Veritech pilot, if nobody else was around, esp. after _Force Of Arms_.

I love this. Why did Rick take so blasted long to see Lisa as the beautifully vivacious woman she is.
Hmm, a Claudia/Roy version of this would be cool to see.

Why?Β Well, at the start of the show, Rick is 18 and Lisa is 24.Β That's a pretty big gap at that age, and esp. if the female is the elder.Β Further, Rick and Lisa got off to a bad start on the day they met, and Rick was infatuated with Minmei.Β Add in thatΒ she's his superior officer, and you've got a complicated mess.

since my critique is less than a 100 words im just gonna type it up here ok all i hafe to say is wish the leg was compleatly over the other one and also that the face wasn't so anglier other than that good job

the crossed leg is more of an attempt to show Lisa in a playful light. It could also be decided that she is in the process of crossing her legs and this is a private moment caught on film (perhaps by Rick?) in a candid shot.
The angle of the face is one of the toughest aspects of this style of art. In this case we are viewing Lisa from a higher perspective and she has he chin down and face turned from us to 45 degrees, or a 3/4 side view. If she we facing the viewer more and we were at eye level her chin might appear less angled.

Beautiful!! Misa/Lisa is awesome. She's my favorite character in Macross/Robotech. She's smart, strong, feisty, responsible, self-reliant, and beautiful. Most girls who watched this back in the 80s and 90s came out to be like Lisa...even me lol I even have green eyes
I have to wonder what kept Rick from TRULY seeing Lisa...besides the fact that it was ALL about Minmei -_- My favorite scene is when he opens his eyes and realizes who he's TRULY in love with XD

I think it is the fact that their romance was so troubled that makes Lisa/Misa so attractive to all fans. I think Minmei was that bright shiny object that distracts men from a gem in the rough...

Keep in mind that Rick is several years younger than Lisa, he still had some growing up to do before he could really appreciate what Lisa was offering...and she wasn't really offering for the first couple of years that they knew each other.

Well done. Instant Favorite. What I also love is despite her rather demure and professional dress uniform, you managed to capture that distinctly subtle, yet obvious, charm that a woman can use to show exactly what she wants without ever being blatant. This looks like the way a future Mrs. Hunter might greet her future fiance. Innocent, yet full of emotion. That face is not the face of a woman meeting a friend, that is the look of a woman liking what she sees. Kudos for making the viewer that target of that gaze.

Yes I think that is the most interesting thing about what I accidently accomplished. I've put her in a light that she isn't typically seen in. Hard to say when this little moment occurs. We could be viewing her from Rick's perspective after the reconstruction when things are going well for them. I patterned everything off the wardroom on the SDF-1, but it doesn't have to be during the trip from Pluto...

Yeah, it was her role in the series to be the stuffy, uptight ice queen who finally gets melty in the end... like a proto-tsundere. With her father being who he was, and her fiance being so far away (and then dead)... she had reason to be emotionally cut-off.
She was pretty awesome though, she never gets enough love.
