Description >game title< Fallout 3
>genre< RPG
>setting< post-apocalyptic Washington DC

[good points] big world, good graphics, enticing and addictive story

[bad points] no "sprint" button

[info] this is a big game and make sure you reserve a few hours before you play this, granted most of the time your "running" to most of the places but the problem is the running doesn't seem fast enough, you only realize you are running when your overload yourself (by having too many items) then you slow down a lot (like the speed of a snail almost) each of the creatures in the game are varied as they are numerous, they can range to the humans, semi-mutated humans (ghouls), heavily mutated humans (super-mutants(hulk wannabes)) as well as infected animals even believe or not fire-breathing giant ants (you dont want to see the size off the queen (close to the size of a bus))

the game itself cam be played either as a FPS or a 3RDΒ Β person shooter, however in third person your character seems to "slide" around the place

a system that is unique to fallout 3 (i think) is the V.A.T.S. (Visual Assessment Targeting System) basically allow you to target specific areas of the body to "disable" the, for example you could shoot the head of a humanoid character for the quick and easy kill, the torso for the highest chance to hit, the arms to make them drop their weapon (usually), their legs to immobilize them, or you can even aim for the weapon, to shoot it straight out of their hands. failing that you can just play it as a generic FPS

the map itself is huge, just to give you an example it took me about an hour to traverse from one side of the map to the other, there is a "quick travel" system witch allows you to return quickly to a area previously explored, but only if you have been there first

[hint] when you get the chance explore the world (you can do it during quests if you need to) do so... even if you are just wandering around the place, sooner or later you will find key places where you can "quick travel" to, do this near the start it will save you traversing it again during missions (it is also a good way to get experience)

Not a bad review for the 360 one. I've heard that the PS3 looks sharper and cleaner and with the PC expansions are easier to get.

Still sounds about right for most of the reviews i've heard.

a bit of a shallow review...
but ah well, sounds good, I need details on the storyline in order to buy the game, like, is the storyline actually good?

the storyline is... interesting, to say the least and the good thing is you don't have to follow the story completely, you can take a multitude of different missions

and it will keep you playing for quite a while

I hear nothing but good things about the game, particularly the length of gameplay and the amount of choices you have to make during the storyline, which some have said they can be very challenging to make.
